Hey, recently my brake lights have been staying on and I have to put my foot behind the break pedal and pull it back up to turn them off. Now I have a C1446 code. What does this mean? Going to dealer Monday for my 50k mile service.

Sounds like a bad brake pedal spring or BOO switch.  Should be an easy fix at the dealer.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

It is DTC from the brake light switch... Either malfunction or open to ground, maybe due to pedal spring or bushing as Manu suggests.

Clogged sunroof drain or actual leaking sunroof seal?

The seal is dried out. The Florida sun hasn't been nice to it

Can you find out if they have a "maintenance" lubrication routine for it, as with door & window weatherstripping?  TIA!

I just had this happen to me about a week or 2 ago. I'm still fishing around for the switch/part number for the brake pedal. (Haven't had too much time to go fishing on this matter yet)

my service advisor just said to maintain it just like you would with other weatherstripping on the car. They also put a new brake booster in my car. I mentioned that the pedal felt spongy and they found an internal tear in the diaphragm or something. I'll take a look at the paperwork in the morning and get the part number for the brake lamp switch.

Why a brake pedal may feel weak/spongy after an ABS-triggering event:

Lesson:  Have the HCU checked and bled if necessary.
