20" wheel options

I skimmed here real quick and did not see an answer.
Stumbled on a set of 2011-2015 explorer polished wheels and wondered if anyone has tried these on a SHO before?  Specs look good although I am a little concerned about the offset @44
20*8.5 so gain a hair of width. 
Could I get away with 275's all around, maybe 275/40r20 to maintain tire diameter?
Screaming deal of a full set of 4 wheels for $300, no sensors, no tires.

Yeah I have been digging around and it sounds like that is a no.  Def puts a damper on my initial goals...

I was thinking that 9's would be even tough, and my fuzzy memory was screaming 9.5 at a minimum.....

That is what I am seeing as well, so I will just force myself to be patient while I save and keep an eye out for a good deal locally.

Yeah I saw those ones you have listed, a couple times.  Problem is they are just way out of my range at this point and I am looking to go counter everyone else and go all chrome wheels.  The shipping for that set would be hundreds of dollars out to me as well.
It is a nice set of wheels and great tires.

Freight shipping is your savior. You can get rims/tires shipped freight (or even greyhound) for relatively cheap compared to shipping each one individually via UPS or similar.
 
Those look good and I have not seen them on SHO before... Was the stock tire set up for the performance pack Mustang staggered in the rear? Are all four the same 19x9?
 
Still on the hunt for wheels.  I had narrowed it down to the Drag DR-37, 20x8.5 ET38, that I would then wrap in some 255's

Then a buddy mentioned Voxx and I stumbled on these.  They are wider, which should put me at the point I can run 275's.  The questions is, will the width and backspace fit under a SHO on all 4 corners?  Stock height and lowered?  20*9.5 et35

Another question is wheel weight, DR's are 26#, Lago's are 30.  I believe the stock 20" flowers are 30#?  How much if a difference will the lighter wheels be?

kind of a loaded question . . ill answer to the best of my knowledge:
old adage is 100lbs of weight savings = 1/10th in the 1/4 mile . . however i don’t feel that applies to a 4500lb sedan.
also keep in mind for every pound of UNSPRUNG(rotational mass)weight multiply by 8 to get the equivalent static weight.
so if you reduce 5lbs/corner  that gives you 20lbs of rotating weight. 8x20=160lbs.
MIGHT make you a tenth quicker . . hard to say.

i did a ton of research when i was wheel shopping and ran across an article on the mustang forums that gave a much more accurate rule of thumb. it was something like X% of total weight savings = 1/10th in the 1/4. can’t find it at the moment. . . ill keep looking.
also find specs on the tires your interested in. i chose tires that were 4lbs lighter in there size than all others. my car did turn some good times and surprised a lot of local SHO guys that were further modded than me. a lot of variables though

Thanks ShoBro, I was just looking for rough ideas on it so that helps!
I have also heard that lighter wheels can help with handling, but at the same time tend to ride harder and transmit more road roughness which in a DD sedan is not something I am looking to do.  I do not track at all, so gaining that slight improvement in ET is just "on paper" for me.

I would stay away from the Drag brand wheels, they are cheap and prone to structural issues (which is why they are so cheap). I have also seen a set of Voxx wheels that were on a vehicle for autocross that failed during a lap, lots of issue.

If you want cheaper side of wheels, atleast go with one of the wheels that American Muscle offers IMO. They have a lifetime structural warranty, and 1 yr finish warranty, so if there are any issues with structure, you're covered.
