Well I was getting on the highway today, I was going about 45 and accelerated some to get up to speed and rather than shifting from either 4/5 or 56 I just feel these harsh clunks. When this was going on the rpms were in limbo. It probably made a solid 3 or 4 clunks before finally shifted.

It did this probably 4 times while on my short drive.

Not really sure where to go from here.

Well that stinks.  My car did this once...I actually pulled over and shut off the car and then restarted it.  It never did it again??  Of course my car is tuned...The transmission on this car has always been a little temperamental but your situation sounds painful...

had issues with my tranny but at slower speeds, but the dreaded clunk. rpm's where in limbo on mine as well, not the raised rpm that a true tranny issue does.turned out to be speed turbine sensor & the other sensor that i keep forgetting. once dealer replaced those tranny has been solid.

Well unfortunately it happened again today. This time it felt like the wheels were going to rip off the car. I accelerated onto the highway and the car just stopped revving, wouldn't shift up and was almost hopping. I felt like I was going over speed bumps at 60 mph.

Of course this was right after I install torries tune so I literally didn't get to even experience it. So I uninstalled and it's going back to dealer on Monday. Ugh.

Hope they don't give you any pushback on replacing the TSS/OSS sensors, if they don't find another cause for the troubles experienced.

The light could have been solid. I was more more concerned with not getting rear ended. Whatever happens ed something is definitely not right. Hopefully no issues with the tune. I returned to stock on the x4 but still a little scared I forgot something stupid.

Return to stock and disconnect battery for 15 minutes is the recommendation when going to dealer. Hope it's something simple for you.

Another I noticed after driving it around the block. The trans is not down shifting properly. I'll brake from say 35 down to 10 and when I let go of the brake the car takes off like it's still in 3rd gear. It's pretty scary.

I've heard of that type of problem in older cars with a vacuum leak or a failing cruise control.  Doesn't seem likely here though.

Does this describe your problem?

6F50/6F55 TRANSMISSION—SLUGGISH "TSB 11-8-21"
ACCELERATION FROM 0-8 KMH (0-5 MPH)
FOLLOWED BY A HARSH BUMP OR A SLIP ON
TAKE-OFF FOLLOWED BY A BUMP—BUILT ON OR
BEFORE 4/15/2011,

Could also be a transmission range sensor.
When it starts acting up watch the gear indicator on the dash, if the  "D"  disappears the trans might not know what gear its in.

I didn't notice what the dash said but if it acts up again before Monday I will let you guys know.

It started doing this while stock yesterday. I wasn't even able to make one full throttle pass with the tune. It immediately got stuck in gear before I was able to get on the highway.

What's your build date?

11-12-10 - 6F50/6F55 TRANSMISSION - SLUGGISH ACCELERATION FROM 0-8 KMH (0-5 MPH) FOLLOWED BY A HARSH BUMP OR A SLIP ON TAKE-OFF FOLLOWED BY A BUMP - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 4/15/2011

10-09-09 - 6F50/6F55 TRANSMISSION - DTC P0751 - HARSH OR NO FORWARD ENGAGEMENTS - PERCEIVED SLIP ON ACCELERATION - SLIP/DELAYED AND/OR HARSH DOWNSHIFTS

10-06-04 - 6F55 TRANSMISSION WITH ECO BOOST (GTDI)- BUMP 3-1 COASTING DOWNSHIFT BELOW 10 MPH (16 KM/H) BUILT ON OR BEFORE 3/1/2010

10-04-03 - 6F50/6F55 TRANSMISSION - SHIFT FLARE INITIAL 2-3 SHIFT / SLIGHT DELAY/BUMP 3-1 COASTING DOWNSHIFT BELOW 10 MPH (16 KM/H) BUILT ON OR BEFORE 11/17/2009

If it's easy to duplicate, the dealer should be able to get it fixed.  How much longer do you have to wait before the warranty will kick in?  Hopefully they don't get you issues!
