2013 SHO vs 2007 E63 AMG good race!

If he would've holeshot you, that'd be a different race.

Man I love AWD.

Great race!

He didn't spin at all. He burned his tires properly and his lane had glue. His RT was 0.03 and mine 0.02... So he couldn't have holeshot me. Our SHO especially 2013 PP with tune are very fast to launch.
At 1.73-1.77 60', I launch as fast as GTR or Vipers!
On that race, the low torque and gearing was the advantage, not the AWD... The AWD allowed me to launch in the lane that had no glue.
But the extr weight and drivetrain loss due to AWD made him catch me throughout the race, but the finish line arrived just in time.
When LMS will have their XV1, I expect to be able to maintain the avance from the launch and have more power after gears 1-2...
Thanks!

So it looks like your 60' is what won this race.    Close, close race.  It's awesome though.

I'm anxious to follow your path, as I gave up an 11 second Evo for my SHO and I want to get back there.

I do have to ask as I'm curious...why the burst of acceleration before the timing lights?  I don't see how that's beneficial on an AWD car...

Believe it or not it does help, if anything it cleans off the tires.

Finally, my 60' was 0.15 sec faster and he was 0.08 faster for the following 1260 ft. But they say whatever we can save on start is the double at the end, so yes 60 ft are really important.
Lower springs and good tires are for that reason very important!

The quick acceleration before start is to make sure I don't get dirt, little rocks etc. on the tires getting to the line, that's first, but also because it primes the methanol and burns it too... That way, at the green light, I have instant methanol ready to play...

As for your EVO, two different cars... The SHO will soon be in the 11's. But I can assure you that people will be more impressed to see a 4,300lbs sedan run in the 11's! Good luck!

Never had meth, so didn't know that.  Good to know.

And yes, I completely agree that an 11-second show would be more impressive than an 11-second Evo.
