2013 Taurus amp and sub

I just picked up a 2013 Taurus sel. I ran all the wires for a amp and sub. Kicker L7 12" and a kicker 1500.1. I'm leaving the factory head unit since it's fully loaded. My question now is where do I install the line output converter (LOC)? I tried the rear speakers and it blew my head unit fuse twice. So any other place I can install this?

Ok, that's where most people who just add an amp connect to. Don't have any experience with the metro LOC. Never heard of popping a radio fuse with a LOC...
How are the gains set on the LOC.
A few members here have had good luck with this  http://www.amazon.com/AudioControl-2-Channel-Converter-Subwoofer-Control/dp/B004CTBYGE.
If you have the Sony premium sound the rear deck is subs only. And they're crossed over pretty high. If you want a full range signal and have your amp do the crossover work you need to tie into the rear doors.
All this can be done at the radio/amp interface in the trunk drivers side.
