Finally, a meetup not too far from me!  Can't take a whole week off from work, but will definitely come up for a Sunday or Monday n hit a nearby comedy club to treat the Mrs.

My name is Peter Torres and I'm a retiree from Chicago Assembly Plant (1976-2007) I live about 10 south of the plant. The president of the local UAW 551 is a friend of mine . His name is Chris Pena. The phone number to the union hall is 773-646-1472 I also know Dawn Diggs she is the quality control rep, her phone number is 773-646-7125 I would be more than happy to help with organizing  the tour.( running of the Bulls in Chicago, SHO time in Chicago, back home for the SHO)I'm really looking forward to the convection. The plant should be up and running since vacation shut down is usually the first two weeks of July. It's really amazing watching the cars being assembled. A completed cars rolls off the line every 68-71 seconds. Bring comfortable shoes it's a really big plant! I can send you my e-mail in a pm if you like. By the way the Autobahn race track in Joliet, IL is really nice. Bring a picnic basket, folding chairs and make a day of it!  Hope I can help.  P.S. Are we going to be able to drive are cars on the track? I would really love driving my 2013 SHO  and my 1997 SVT Cobra convertible on the track. Looking forward to seeing everyone in July. :- ) Your gonna love Chicago, it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Everyone should make some time to drive Lake Shore Drive. Start south from Solider field and go north. The lake will be on your right and the city on your left. It's really amazing at night. If you have time on Monday take the Chicago river boat  Architectural River Cruise. One of my favorite things to take my out of town friends on.

Peter, not sure if your a member of SHOforum, but could you post the same info over there.  The would love to here your want to help on the tour.

I'm new to the forum here... so pardon if this is not the right venue to ask this question..... How many people are going to this meet? I'm in the Milwaukee area, and would be interested in stopping by for the meet. What types of things would we be doing? Food drinks and cruising?

Welcome to EBPF!  Good question, I guess we need to start an attendance thread :)  I am sure there are people from other forums (especially SHOforum.com) also attending, though.

I will be in a conference in New Brunswick, Canada 2 days before this meeting. Hopefully will try to attend the SHO convention this year and meet all of you there!

Cheers!

Mo

I am trying to decide if it would be worth me going down there.  Looking for 2013+ owners that would be looking to have OEM Navigation added to MFT or the AWD/Engine hrs tracking added.  If there is enough demand I may head down.

You should go anyway, Jason, put faces to names, show off your products/offerings, etc.  I don't know what %age of the SHO crowd is aware of your lineup ...

Dude I saw your  products and they look freaking amazing. I'd be interested in knowing more about what you mean by "OEM Navigation added to MFT"

If your car didn't come with Voice Navigation (Sync Services is not Voice Navigation) I can add it.

If the upper right of MFT says INFORMATION you don't have Voice Navigation as it would say NAVIGATION instead.

If you can make the trip its worth it (Besides you not much further north than me)... Just a bunch of car nuts having a good time with there SHOs. Talking shop and showing things they have done to the cars.  We always have had people who make parts for theses cars and do mods show up and join in for years.  Great place to showcase.

A little late in the game, but just wanted to let y'all know that I have officially mailed in my registration, and also have officially reserved my stay at the designated host hotel as of today!

Very, very much looking forward to meeting new faces, and also rekindling old friendships previously formed.

For those of you not aware, the tour of the Chicago Assembly Plant where our beloved SHO's are produced, has been officially approved and is in full green light mode!

There are a myriad of other activities planned throughout the week as well, and y'all be best served by checking out the entire line up of the weeks events by visiting:

www.shoclub.com and clicking on the hyper links provided there in......

Please get those registrations forms in, and be sure to complete those hotel reservations ASAP! From what I understand, there were/are a limited number of rooms left at the discounted club rate of $109.00 p/night.

40 days left and counting down!
