Battery question

Any one know what the color of the battery "eye" window means. I thought mine was originally green and now it is showing red. I've been planning a replacement in any case but I wonder if this is my excuse to act right now.

Red equals dead. (or close to it).

Better change that out quickly, or leave the car running until you do (if you go out shopping anywhere, etc.).

I had a dead battery a few times after leaving an accy plugged in.  Always charged ok but since I have had issues in past where battery quit completely after a 2 hr drive, I replaced.  Like BPD said elsewhere, these batteries are medium duty. Mine lasted 3 1/2 yrs.  Ford has good deals on the HD batteries.
I got the next size up which was the biggest amp hrs that they sold that would fit for around $130.00  Has a very good warranty too!

Since we are on batteries. My '10 is at that 3 1/2 years on battery so thanks for mentioning the eye, I've been watching it since I saw 1st post about it. When I replace I want my battery to be as much red as possible to match my underhood theme. Opinions on Duralast Red top vs Optimum red top? Or EBB does the Ford HD have a red top.

No... it looks very similar to the original on top.  Maybe you could use Plastidip Red on the top...
