So the chrome is peeling off the tail lights...shocker i know....rather then spending $400 on a new set I decided to experiment with some black plastidip.  For $6 and a little bit of my time on a nice day I'm happy with the outcome.  I even expanded my experiment to the grill. Attached a few before/after pics of each.

Excellent job, great look!  :thumb:  ... And saved a lot of $, especially since the tails would peel again.  Super job on the spear... Really makes the new tail light job pop! :beer2:

I can't completely claim it all as my own theme...i have to confess that I love the white explorer sport with the black trim. So I pondered....my SHO is white, why can't the black trim look just as good as it does on the exploder!  Might try blacking out the chrome window trim and see how i like that and then Eventually some black wheels! Maybe a black faced wheel with a lip painted to match the color of the car

Thanks all for the kind words.  Attached a better picture of the front. Having the bumper replaced tomorrow. after that is done there will be no more front plate mount and i will spray the bottom grille to match the top.  Will also be blacking out the silver inserts around the LED strip

I did the same thing with my car. The black accents look really good on the white paint. Great work with the dip! It's a great product to use.

sleeper- excellent job as i tried it & know how hard it is to do an expert job with the dip. was looking at your profile & saw you had borla catbacks. you & i maybe the  2 around with them. really love the way my guy made them stick further out the back so you could see the embossed borla emblem.
