Cooled seats operation?

When I last used the cooled seats on my car last fall, they worked great...they chilled the seats down nice.

Its finally warmer again, and I went to use them last week and the seats barely get cooled now. I stuck my hand under the seats this evening and the fans are blowing warm to ambient temperature. The seat surfaces feel cooler, but not that big of a difference. This is happening with both the driver and passenger side seats.

Only mods are a tune (not sure if that would affect anything) but its kinda odd that its happening with both seats.

My guess would be the filters are cloged or that magical part that does the cooling and heating might be broke. I find mine arnt really that cold. Im gonna get the filters changed next service.

Any clicking sounds when you turn on the ac  or change the temp?
Your blend door motor actuator might be on the way out.

Try changing the seat filters, it is an easy job. The seat cooling has nothing to do with the heating or cooling of the car, it is a separate system. If the filters do not fix it and it is under warranty take it in to the dealer.

I was trying to find them, where the hell are they?

Move the seat fully forward and tilt it as far forward and up as it will go. You will see the housing there under the seat in the back of the seat. There is a filter in each front seat.

I doubt the seat filters are an issue, I just checked mine for the first time and they were nearly brand new looking with 30,000 miles (62,000km) these are very non restrictive filters anyway ...  it would take a lot of dirt to clog them

I have a pug that comes into the car with me and sheds like a mofo, so I'm going to see if they are clogged up first then I'll take it to the dealership.

Yeah; I spent half an hour pulling hair from the a-pillars we swapped when I gave him my first gauge pod design.

I thought mine looked clean too when I checked. Here is a new one alongside what I thought looked like the clean one I pulled.

Mine look like the top ones still, maybe previous car owner changed them once ... but I am doubting it since the rest of the car showed little care or preventative maintenance
