Cooled seats question

This is my first time with cooled seats and I've got a question to make sure mine are working right. Does it only cool the base of the seat? Or is it supposed to pull air through the back as well? Because mine only pulls air through the base and leaves my back to sweat :/

AFAIK, there's only one fan and it's directly under the bottom of the seat and blows up.  The air then goes across the cooling pad and takes the path of least resistance.

I can slightly feel the back getting cooler, but that's with my MKS with perforated leather.  It's still not much.

Its usually the butt dyno that gets the most sensation,lol.....IMO the back is mildly cooled and even after a long trip my back is always kinda sweaty in the summer, here is a great link for ya.  Z    https://www.facebook.com/notes/fordpartscom/fordpartscom-parts-tip-stay-cool-know-about-climate-controlled-seats/223295744373477/

So based on that photo Z, there is a supply duct that goes up the back of the seat? I guess the main sensation just comes from the blower motor and the air just has trouble reaching all the way up the back. Great info y'all, thanks!

Thats where the seat filters come into play especially if original or have pets, remove the filters under the seats and use a pair of stockings, high thighs to create your own media filter as Motorcraft does NOT sell the media filter alone.....IMO the air(restriction) lies in the duct base(seat filter).  Z

I looked at those the other day actually, but from the outside they looked perfect and weren't clogged with anything. I might still have to do that since it's so cheap though

I think this discussion was brought up in the past by bpd1151 that indeed the seat filters DO NOT come with any such media (filter)only the housing, here's the part number and think by using a thin elastic stocking might suffice the issue IDK.  Z      http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2013,taurus,3.5l+v6+turbocharged,1503823,interior,climate+control+seat+filter,16790?a=Referer+www.google.com+URL+%2F    MOTORCRAFT FS106 Housing Only
