Dash Command

The reason i asked was alot of trucks dont come with the bottom cover, will assure you by removing the bottom cover you will see lower IAT temps and also better ET on the track, when the fans kick in all the hot air is transmitted to the bottom of the vehicle at idle.

Hmm I wonder. There is a bunch of extras down there, ours even has an oil cooler because of the tow package
Prep for track use only.

Ok to be honest I have not actually looked under there thoroughly, only time was when I took a couple pics of my exhaust install. From fords advertising it says there is an engine cooler, but now I'm seeing posts saying there is not one on the sport after all. Looks like I'm going to have to put it up and have a good look. Gives me something to do :D

Has anyone used dashcommand for tracking 1/4 times? If so how accurate was it? I'm going to the track on Sunday and DashCommand had me at 13.66 on the single run I did. Anything under 13.99 requires a helmet at the track I'm going to, so I'll prob need to ask locally borrow one if it's pretty accurate

Just seeing times from others I'd put you under 13.99. You could call the track and see if they rent helmets out. Some do quite cheaply.

This was my average running dash command. Always right on par with numbers myself and others were seeing at the track.
My 1/4 times are off as I always ran out of real estate where I test car around here.

This was my first year experiencing the track personally!!! I know I've seen videos from my local track in late November, but the stands were empty. So I don't know if it was private runs or open to public.

Hot lapping in this cold weather seems to help the 60' greatly in keeping the tires warmed up. So if at first you get to much spin, keep in mind you have cold tires and they should gain more traction if able to hot lap it.

Thanks for the input guys, so dashcommand is pretty accurate it seems. Also yea needing a helmet isn't a bad thing for sure. Just wish our track wasn't at 3000 ft

Try .55 for your bsfc, that number jives with Torque and 1/4 mile times at least as far as increases go.

once I'm dyno'd we should have a real number..... But I think it's close.

add 27% for drive train loss....

There is a lot more data you can add to make the data more accurate but there are two things I can't find....

Frontal area

Brake specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC)

Any help locating these values would be appreciated!

The frontal area is 12sq ft
From what I can find on BSFC its usually .60-.65 for turbo engines, but no mention of twin turbos. I just went with .65
lol, I just found your response from a google search, thanks. The only info on frontal area is from the towing guide which says no more the 12 square feet.
