Esso 93 VS Petro 94

In Ontario since Petro Canada bought out Sunoco we have only had 1 option for 93 + gas. That's Petro 94 octane. More recently Esso has introduced their own 93 octane fuel. Since my SHO was new I only used Petro 94. I have recently switched to the new Esso 93 fuel, and what do you know it seems like a better fuel. Less KR (although I didn't really have much to begin with) and the car just seems to like it better. Funny cause it's 93 not 94. Anyone in Ontario, have you tried Esso 93? And what are your thoughts on it?

I Wonder if we have it in Québec too? I have put only Petro94 since I have the car, but would like another option... It would be a stress less to have a second option when travelling instead of having to plan where Petro Canada are. The tunes are made for 93 octane, so maybe the extra 1 octane isn't relevent. Also, is it really a 94 octane at Petro Canada? I have heard stories. But I never had problem so far with Petro...

I wonder the same thing about Petro94, i think the big issue with Petro94 is that it's not a big seller for them. With the Ethanol content if it sits at the station for a long time it won't be "fresh". It would be cool if we could test it. If you call Esso they will tell you if they will be selling 93 in your area. They emailed me a sheet for my area that has all the locations selling 93.

I also have been getting my 93 from a station in town that caters to the more affluent crowd. Lots of exotics get gas there. I usually try to pull in behind one of them when I fill up ;)

They must be wondering who the riffraff is!

I'm in Ontario as well, Ive always used esso because it is only a minute away (91 octane) they just came out with the 93 here in late spring. I want to try shell with the 94 to see the difference if any, but what would sell me on any high grade gas would be a separate pump for it. I cant help but feel like your getting the end of someones regular gas.
