Exhaust wrap

I have leftovers from another project and want sum opinions.

Im trying everything to cut down underhood temps on my wifes 2015 Sport.
I was thinking of just wrapping the front convertors with it, ne1 sea a downside to doing this??

Yea I know, I have to much free time on my hands.

I'd crack a joke, but it's way too obvious ... even 4 me LOL!

Not a fan of wrap, due to heat and condensation that will over time rust the part out.  Ceramic coatings & such, sure, must better, but much more expensive as well.

I would avoid the converters, they already run hot judging on how often I go into COT in my logs. Wrapping them will make them even hotter than the PCM expects and could destroy them.

Yea and to keep them cooler it will just waist more gas

I think you use more gas to cool down the cylinders but that makes the cats hotter so maybe having hotter cats will actually save gas?
