Expedition rear end swap

Just wondering has anyone tried to swap out the rear in an older Expedition.  I count 7 bolts holding it in place. The one in my 97 is going bad.  When it gets hot from use, you stop at an intersection at slow speeds, getting a growling noise, Im thinking the spiders are going out.  Just wondered if anyone here has messed with something like this.  The old girl has 176,000 miles on her.  Body good, motor pulls strong, trans already replaced, plus its paid for.

Thanks

Haven't done a swap the exact swap before, but there isn't very much holding it up in there. Just pinch the flex line for the brakes off so you don't lose all your brake fluid, will make bleeding brakes quicker.
