First Ecoboost in the 11's!!!!!!!!!!!

First-SHO

Went to the track today and ran 3 runs in the 11's on stock fuel setup and with a strong 15 mph head wind.  Videos of 2 runs will be posted later and LMS has to send them to me.

I know it could have run 11.7-11.8 if no wind.

Read um and weep B&G's

Nice to see the possibility on stock fuel system. I plan to be right there too when I get all my parts gathered and installed!

Interesting comment..... "stock fuel system".

I know that you, like me, are supplementing the stock fuel system with 100% Methanol.

Just curious about any issues you may (or may not) have experienced in regards to this aspect of fueling (or lack there of).

Still seems to be a semi, hot button topic, yet to be resolved definitively.

Any light you can shed on the topic would be greatly appreciated by all whom will inevitibly be reading this thread. Even if that entails you having to consult with LMS about the technical info / data.

Thanks a bunch! :thankyou:

Once again, congrats at being the 1st to the 11's!  :no1:

I'm confused, was there, or was there not methanol being used?

***EDIT***

No need for confusion, all you had to do was read my post correctly, I highlighted it for you**** ---bpd1151

Great work, First-SHO!  I bet the traction bars were a major factor in breaking that barrier (along with your driving skillz :) ).  What do you think pushed you into uncharted territory?  Maybe it was the new catchcans???  Hmmm  :icon_horns2:

Why is stock fuel system an interesting comment? Nothing of the fuel system was changed. Yes, methanol was added but like was said that's a "supplemental" injection. Not a modification of the fuel system.

Correct. I ask for clarification because I know I'll be eventually obtaining my newest dyno tune file through LMS to help compliment my own turbo upgrade.

Since there's been so much back -n- forth discussion as it relates to fuel upgrades, and whether they are necessary, I was hoping that FirstSHO can chime in, as to what he's seeing on his own vehicle, as it pertains to that subject matter.

I'm not only interested for me, and me alone, but also, the info would help others as well.

There's an entire separate chunk of mod money that will be necessary to be placed aside if upgrades (in whatever portions that it may entail) are deemed to be necessary.

FirstSHO's running a turbo upgrade himself, but I believe his are the Tial Motorsport upgraded turbos, which essentially involved enlarging the compressor wheel only, along with better seals throughout.

So I suppose my application will be somewhat different anyhow, as I am running the ATP upgraded turbos.

Does that help shed some light on why I find your comment on the "stock fuel system" and FirstSHO's achievement in breaking into the 11's as qualifying as being "interesting"?

I am running stock fuel setup and yes meth.  There has been a ton of discussion on loosing fuel pressure at WOT.  I am not seeing that, but am using meth for additional fuel.  Through my entire run I stay on the rich side the complete run with no loss in pressure.  I am running Tial turbos which I am told are good for 30 psi.  We are only running 20-21 psi right now, so there is much room to move.  We plan on increasing boost and see how things go.

Thanks for all the congrats and hope to see more of you guys there.

Just remember.... YOU are the FIRST EB vehicle in the 11's!!!!  Someone may run faster but nobody has beaten you...

On a much smaller stage... I was the FIRST FLEX in the 12's.  Not sure it was worth the cost.  (OOPS?) but I too got 3 runs to back mine up.

Congrats Mike! Well diserved! So you are still the only one that has beaten my times so far... Lol
Considering the head winds, I agree that you could have lowered your ET by a tenth or two...
I believe 11's are achievable with stock turbos, just waiting for LMS to have XV1 available... Unfortunately, for me, I'll have to wait next year to get there.
What a feeling it must have been to see 11's!!!
I too saw 11 last weekend, but unfortunately it was preceeded by a 12 (12.11 lol).
Good job again!
