Ford Updates Sync to add Apple's Siri Eyes free

I just did the update last month and my Sync account is showing a new update available.  I guess I know what I will be doing after work tonight.

Digging deeper I doubt this will work on my car.  It does say My Ford Touch so I would guess on the Taurus and MKS it would be 2013 and newer models only.

Yes this is for 2013+ Taurus only.  2011 doesn't have MFT.

That's what I figured. I had my hopes up when they said 2011 and newer.

I just checked mine, and it is saying that it is current and up to date with Gen2v3.8 done last month, or 2 months ago. my iphone works with it, but I havent played much with it. can anyone confirm the version of the new update?

The latest for MFT is 3.8.  There are many versions of differing sync systems.  That's where the original post caused confusion. Vehicles from 2011 and up WITH MFT should be running by 3.8 if updated.

The Taurus didn't get MFT until 2013.

For the 2010 thru 2013, the biggest update to this release of Sync was adding back text support for new phones.

Does this add text back to additional phones other than iPhones? I was disappointed that I was unable to do voice to text back with my Note 4. Would also be nice to control other things like Pandora or Waze.
