Went to the track...  got 8 runs in!!!! Here is the best of each tune. Mods in signature, this is without downpipes.

I am getting much better 60fts with LMS, I think it has to do with how fast GH ramps the boost. I was launching at 1700rpms with the GH tune and was sti spinning a bit. This goes right in line with the dynos...

1/4 Tank of E30, full weight with child’s seat, 22psi on the front tires.

DA of -623ft

The track was prepped in the morning and then wasn’t prepped after that, the 60fts were getting harder to achieve as the track was less sticky later in the day.

Wow that's really good!  And the DA was excellent!  The times are less than a tenth off and mph less than 1 mph difference between the two tunes.  That's very very interesting........

Very close indeed, but look at the 60ft times... That LMS run was a much better run than the GH run.. The Gearhead run would have been a 12.0xx if I had gotten a decent 60ft out of it.

Great runs! I believe in the FB post you said you needed new tires?  I think you're tires/downpipes away from 11.XX!!!

LOL... Tires and Downpipes are sitting in the garage.. just not installed yet.

I agree, with your new tires on you should achieve your desired 60 ft and downpipes will give you that edge over into an 11.  This is an all time new personal best for you as well correct?  Very impressive!

Yup! New PB for me, Thanks! Tires are waiting for me when I want to put them on lol... probably after the turbos and downpipes.

Me too! I am now on the fence about reselling them and getting Nittos... lol. I think I might need a stickier tire.

Nitto NT555R 275/40/20 up front only I bet will work wonders.  I am considering this idea myself.  Only using them as front tires.  Don't think all four are necessary if you got a good high performance summer tire in the rear.

Can a 275/40/20 fit on stock wheels? I know its probably searchable... just being lazy..

You could do a Nitto NT05 255/45/20 up front that would fit your wheel better but its not as sticky as the NT555R

Might as well go 275/40-20 on all 4 though, that way you can also throw car around and have rear end planted if you play in the twisties.  I love mine, and am confident in it's handling when I get rowdy on mtn roads this summer.  It  stocks to the point it becomes uncomfortable to turn much harder in stock seats/belt, need a good racing bucket and 5pt harness.

8" can be done, but lot of mfg have a min spec of 9" for the 275 tires.  Anything less and no warranty, etc etc.  Some shops may not install them either.  I found a set of aftermarket wheels for a good deal, less in fact than having my stockers painted, so it was a no brainer for me.  You can get wheels for under $200/ea these days.  20x9.5 et35

Yes but with draw backs. I have them on my 2015 with 20". You are putting a 9" wide tire on an 8" rim. The way I looked at it was that is a 1/2" each way. Not too much right?

They work. Not perfectly but they work well. They are just air pressure sensitive. Too much they feel like they are rolling (Hard Hard cornering) since they are pinched not stretched. I run 30 psi DD and they run great. Was just a slight learning curve.

Anyway. The tires I got with a few others here were only $95 shipped from Amazon. They are $185 now.

Yup that is what I bought as well when I think you posted the sale link.
About the same time I bought a set of VOXX Lago wheels: 20X9.5 5x114.3/5x120 offset35
I paid $675 shipped for a set of 4 wheels, they have gone up since then but still on ebay:

I love these tires, I have not had the inflation sensitivity Mac noticed.  I will be honest I have not even checked air pressure on them in a few months as I have not had any change in handling/performance to cause concern and they have not been visibly sagging.  I have not tracked/launched them, but they give me all the grip I need so far.

SBS- Given what you are after and the limits you are pushing I honestly think it would be a bit of a waste to put 275's on stock wheels, it will deform the tire and you will not get the full performance possible from the tire.  You just will not get getting the full value from the tire upgrade to make it worth getting a better tire than what you have waiting already?

I agree 100% with lamrith. 275/40/20 - 9.5 (+40 or less) on all 4 corners is the way to go with the hi/po direction you're going with your sho. Loved them especially in the Twisties.
