Has anyone installed an aftermarket remote start?

I was wondering if anyone has installed an aftermarket remote start system. My dad had a 2010 Limited with the optional ford remote start and it sucked. I saw a few single button digital viper systems that work up to 1000ft or something like that on eBay for under $100. Just want to know how it would work with the push button start and the Ford PATS.

Thanks!

I have one. I've attched the topic thread from when I got it. The push button start makes it a little difficult to find one that works right. It takes a good integration module to go along with the remote start but it works great.

looks like you have the viper 4203. The same one I want. I wish I knew what integration module your installer used. Any ideas?

i've got vipers on both my cars, not cheap but good quality & the distance you can be from the car is way more than regular factory models, but would have not changed just neither of cars had remote start.

I have the same Viper as Don.  I was under the impression they did not make that model anymore. He hooked me up with his installer. Works flawlessly and the range is mind boggling.

Found the viper 4205. Just the updated system that you have. Just want to know if the included control module will work.

He said it is a FL Can by Flashlogic.  He says that it has to be flashed for the car through the computer and you have to have an account to do it and a programmer.

thanks! I found it on eBay for $50 and the seller (av dealer) is willing to program it for my car for free. Not bad
