Hello to all, my name is Scott and I am from the St. Louis area. Im a new ecoboost owner, a 2013 Lincoln MKS. I come from the Mazda community with a speed3 so I am familiar with the breed and the ins and outs of a DI turbo engine. Looking forward to learning the quirks of the new to me engine and can't wait to sell my part out so I can "reinvest" in the new MKS.

Welcome Scott , pretty big change from a speed3 to a mks. Watch that rear end on that big girl when backing into parking spots lol.

No Kidding! Tired of the speed racer, manual in traffic, shoe horning the kid in the back, rough loud ride etc. Oh and it has the camera and park assist so no worries, the elite package, now I'm the 1% ;). My goal is to mod, turn on the massaging seats and break 12 seconds at the track, then rather than hot lap it, use the park assist to parallel park that boat in the lot hahaha.

its pretty easy to get these cars in the high 12's. A tune and some decent tires and you'll be there.
Then you will have the ultimate sleeper.
I'm seriously considering trading in the SHO for a mks. You can get some smoking deals in my area right now.

There's a member here that lowered his white mks and put some wheels on it and it looks FREAKING AMAZING!!

Found the pic.
This is Taurusbuilders

Thats how I got in one, an amazing deal. Curious about lowering it with the adaptive suspension. I don't want some crazy tire wear like I had with my speed and I don't want to mess up that nice ride! I drove both the SHO and the MKS, I couldn't pass on it with how plush it is with the elite package!

Congratulations Scott!  As Glock said, you can get into the 12s easily and still maintain the smooth quiet ride and overall comfort and friendliness.  The MKS with a tune is the ultimate sleeper and a helluva lot of car for the money.

Congrats, that's a nice upgrade!  I wouldn't lower it, don't make it ride rough and scrape it all up.

Tint and new wheels or plastidip sets them apart.

Thanks, and yes it already has tint all around which is nice. It has the 20' wheels and is silver so not sure what color would look better? Maybe black, maybe not.

I believe those are Vossen wheels?  bigmoneycloser has them on his XSport as well.

Welcome aboard the E.B.P.F Scott, had a MKZ loaner for a few days and its a totally different machine compared to my SHO,honestly would some research before making any judgmental decisions related to the suspension, here's a link you might find beneficial on your quest and best of luck with the new ride.  Z  http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx?y=2013&m=Lincoln&mo=MKS#Search
agreed, the suspension on the MKS is far superior as far comfort than the SHO.  I was going on looks alone

glock, what makes the MKS suspension superior?  Is it something that can be turned into an upgrade project for the SHO?

I know you asked Glock but I like the 2013 MKS suspension because you can adjust the shocks to comfort, normal or firm.  It really does work well if you like a soft ride around potholed streets but a firmer ride when pushing it through twisties.
