high low converter install location ?

I just got my amp installed yesterday and was able to watch the guy install it. The only thing i'm not sure about is when he hooked up the high low converter he used the 6x9 subs.. do i loose any frequency because of that .. if soo where would be the best option to install it ?

I believe the front speakers are full range speakers for the broad range of frequency.

Fronts didn't go as low as i would have liked.  I ended up using a 4 channel line level amp with the fronts and the subs both going to get a summing effect.  So far so good.
