I Miss GXP TQ

After a Livernois tune should a 2011 PP be faster than... or = to a GXP G8? I really love the top end of the Pontiac I sold, and our Fords would be perfect if they had that top end pull.

So if I pull the trigger on the tune will it be where I want to be?

All I can say is that these cars tuned pull and pull and pull. I haven't seen them stop pulling up top...lol. I mean maybe they do finally stop, but mine just seems to pull forever like the power doesn't end! Especially with the water methanol injection and the downpipes.

From a dig or from a roll?
Magazine times on the G8 GXP is:
0-60 mph 4.5 sec
Quarter mile 13.0 sec @ 109.6 mph

The SHO should compete with that with just a tune. With 100 octane in the tank and appropriate tune it will beat it badly.

Agree^^.  My MKS with only a tune on 93 octane  hits 60 in just  under 4.5.  SHO would be faster.

i beat a g8 with exhaust, tune, and cai with my sho and I have the 4+ tune from livernois and a Airaid cai.

Bottom line with just a tune no it will not pull as hard up top as the GXP.  I understand where you are coming from on lack of top end.  I came from a SRT4 Caliber that would trap 113-115 with spinning through most of the 1/8 mile.  You will need meth, aggressive tune, downpipes, and preferrably upgraded turbo's to trap higher consistantly than the stock or mildly upgraded GXP.  The SHO's are really more suited for 1/8 mile duty unless you want to spend the bucks (due to 4300 pound weight disadvantage and awd).  BTW the ecoboost with tune should make more torque than the Ls3.  Top end is horsepower unless you packing some big snails under the hood.  LOL  :)

On the street from awd FTW, sushi rolls down the highway not the car to have. That being said it will still pull like a train in my opinion.  Once it os figured out to get a little more power to the rear wheels watchout 1/4 mile
