Anyone actually tested this? I'm just curious if my car really is AWD or no. I should put it on lift and have some push the pedal.

Yup, many times on the dyno, at about 2-5mph the rears kick in when it senses the fronts are moving but backs aren't. The car is basically FWD until it senses it's losing traction up front, it then sends power to the rear. The problem is at 150lb ft of torque to rear wheels it thinks that it's hurting the AWD system and closes the throttle body and opens the blow off valves to remove power immediately.geswek said:Anyone actually tested this? YUP, it's a FWD/AWD car.geswek said:Wait; you're telling me my car is FWD?
So if I'm launching, I'm launching at FWD?
Well that completely sucks.
geswek said:OK; I'm little confused.
So, aiming for 400 hp at wheels; my car is not going to engage AWD because it's going to think it will break.
My car is really just FWD.

I mean, I'm investing this money to make a 400awhp vehicle and I'm little bummed (not deal breaker) but I was hoping I'd have a AWD launch capable vehicle. I figured with AWD, I would never have traction issues.

That is the Torque application with the track recorder plugingeswek said:Interesting.
Question 1; is that Torque that put those markers on your video?
Question 2; that was front hop into 2nd, same thing I currently hear right?
Question 3; did I have a BOV? or did you break traction in maybe 3-4 or something?

Yes, that is wheel hop into 2nd gear
Yes, I have my factory blow off valves set to vent to atmosphere. I did a write up on the forum under the How To section.
