LMS Remote Meth Tune VS LMS Dyno Tune

I just got off the phone with the guys over at LMS to schedule my dyno tune and they said something interesting. Since I am using the older style kit with a single nozzle in front of my TB they said the cost to dyno tune with the travel may not be worth the gains. He said he wasn't sure but I might only net 10-20 HP/TQ... which by the time you factor in cost may not be worth it? He did obviously recommend switching over to the direct port model which would costs around $2,000 even with the kit already installed.

So my question is.. is there anyone on this forum who installed the single nozzle kit themselves and had a baseline dyno run before and after they dyno tuned it? This would be very beneficial information.. I know every car is different, so if there is more than one of you guys I can extrapolate that information to get a rough idea...

might only be 10-20 hp/tq gains but I am sure the whole curve would feel a lot better. And the tune would be better suited to you car vs their canned meth general tune.

But I am sure you already know that.

Just seems like a big upsell to me. Don't get me wrong. The direct injection setup looks and performs awesome. Just depends on how far you want to take it.

You maybe right... kinda why I am hoping to see some dyno graphs of before and after... the guy I talked to made it sound like there was not much to be had.. I got the same response when I wanted a dyno tune without meth...

Just digging through some of the older dynos.. appears the sales guy at LMS was more or less correct... looking like with just the single nozzle up the difference between remote and dyno is around 20hp.. not much on the torque side.... baselines without the dyno tune seem to be around 400hp..400tq...

Not bad at all.

Not at all, that is supposed to include a discount since I purchased the Alky and tunes from them. I just need to noodle if the trip is worth it for a 20HP/20TQ gain.... lots of money.... pretty much what LMS told me when they said it may not be worth it...

I drove up from Atlanta last year to have them Dyno tune my car. They were unable to get a base line since the dyno was broken when I got there. They repaired it and got me done late in the afternoon the next day.  I will say I do feel a difference from the Meth dump tune V10 they had me on. The Meth comes on sooner and I had to lower my launch RPM due to the front tire spinning more than they did before. I say it is worth the trip. I plan on doing the direct port in the future and will drive back up to have it adjusted again. SteelBlue PM me if you have any questions.
