Well I had seen a member post that there was an update for the stage 4 plus and I immediately emailed LMS. Well got my update and wow very impressed . Shifts are definitely firmer and feel it pull better . Now I can here some type of blow off when I let go off throttle . What is the difference between this stage 4 plus and previous version ? More timing ? Boost ?

Please describe the blow off sound if you can. I found an blown O ring on my noisemaker pipe at about the same time as I installed the 4X tune. I too hear a sound when I let off after generating some boost. I thought my temp O ring was still leaking a bit....maybe vibrating like a reed and making a sort of not very loud honk. I suppose it might not be a leak but the noisemaker working for the first time. If so it's a pretty lame sound. I wonder why 4X would encourage that sound?

Good question.... I will have to wait till this afternoon when I get home to make a better observation of the sound.

Just to manage expectations:  LMS has been swamped with inquiries about the new 4X tune.  When I ordered mine, they asked me to be patient due to the high volume of calls/orders.  It is for 2010-2012 models and does require the 3 bar MAP sensor.

My 3 bar MAP will be delivered today and I have already ordered a MyCal device with the new tune from LMS.  Just waiting on delivery.  I also went with a 160 Tstat in that order.  Might as well.

I also have the 3 Bar in hand and am just waiting on the new tune.  I am not expecting it until next week since I know they had a lot of orders ahead of mine.  It sounds like it will be worth the wait, though.

I decided not to change the thermostat at this time.  My temps run in the low 180 range and since I don't track the car, I am not too concerned about heat soak.

Bruce I swapped to a 170 degree stat some time ago and my coolant temps (according to Torque) went from low 190's to low 180's

The only time I have seen over 190 was once when I was stuck in a traffic jam and car was idling or just creeping along for 20 minutes or so.  Anytime I am actually moving, my temp runs around 178 -183.

Total speculation on my part but I wonder if the MKS grille opening allows more air though the radiator than a SHO and that an MKS will run a bit cooler when moving down the highway.

As good a theory as any other. Before I swapped if I got in gridlock traffic in summer, I'd bump up to the high 190's but never much more.  I used to think I had a 190 t-Stat based on my coolant temps till I found out otherwise.  Suppose it's also possible my car just ran hotter than most but 193 degrees used to be my norm....now it's around 183 degrees. All in all I like being in the 180's. It just feels like a good temp.
