Looking for Test Subject with 2013 Non PP SHO in Wisconsin

I have been doing some talking with some people and I would like to do an experiment with someone's car.  No joke.

I am looking for someone willing to come to the central WI area with a 2013 NON Perf Package SHO.  I want to try to enable the advance trac off option feature.  I believe I may be able to.  I will be using OEM programming equipment for this so no worries, nothing is going to blow up.

Maybe I should take one from a dealer for a test drive, lol, not.

PM me if anyone is game.

Thanks

Jason

Non-PP 2010 here......

But man, venturing into Packer Territory is awfully risky for this Bears fan.

I removed it from my 13 and gave it back but does anyone know....it would seem from my playing the the non pp (13s) don't have the traction button in the console rather its controlled under the driver assist menu in the instrument cluster. Can someone confirm?

I have been told the 10-12 Shos have the button with an without PP?  True?

Well for the 13 there is a programming change to the BCM from what I can tell it tells the car the traction control button exists in the console. The the instrument cluster has a programming Change that tells it the traction on/off no longer is controlled via driver assist options.  The abs and power steering control module also have programming changes as well as possibly the hvac module that allow ESC to be defeated. Now the power steering change may actually be that additional assist available on the PP package.

Did a little more research on the non PP package SHO. If you have the active park assist switch the wiring may be in place for the ESC switch. Take the console apart to where you can disconnect the active park switch. If there is a blue and white wire in cavity 6 then it would be possible to add the ESC off feature. Can anyone confirm or deny?

BPD... I am really in trouble... I can never decide between Bears, Packers and Vikings!!!

(Dazed... Confused... and Verklempt...LOL)

Would be a really nice mod if it works...  Wish a Flex could be a test subject... I live 120 mi from Prairie Du Chien on US 18.

I would even cheer for the Packers this year!!!!

I will compare some more flex data whe I have time. The way the 2013 taurus works is it looks like all the button does is sends the instrument cluster a ground signal. The computer within the cluster must then send the signal out to the rest of the required components to kill

I have access to the on line service manual but not any other years or models.  It would be nice to but I'm not dropping 2000 buks to get access to all that lol

Just an update for the 2013 owners.  I have had discussions with a non PP owner.  The wiring needed for this does not exist in non PP models.  It appears it can be added however.  It is one wire and if you want the oem look, then the traction control switch in the center console as well.  I have went ahead and ordered a switch and wiring terminals.  Hoping to get this added to someones car.

I did some playing but didn't find a willing subject. I believe a non PP can be changed to do this.

I have a non-PP 2013 SHO, but I'm in Philadelphia. Not feasible to drive it out to WI, but I wound love to just be able to buy the console TC button and add it. Are you saying that you suspect this is possible? Would it require a software solution as well? Or just the button? Ford really should have added the button to all SHO models. At least its available as an option in the driver assist menu, though. I got stuck in the snow in a 2011 Fiesta and went nuts looking for the button/ menu option to turn off TC.....and there wasn't one in that car; couldn't defeat the TC. I think the 2012s had that option added.

The PP SHO button in the console allows the advance trac to be shut off.  This is different than traction control.  Besides adding the button and the needed wiring there is software configuration that needs to be done as well with expensive equipment.
