Hey guys. I just purchased a super clean 2010 EcoBoost Flex. Traded in my fully bolted meth injected Mazdaspeed 3. In the process of selling most of my Speed parts to fund some go fast parts for my Flex. Thinking about swapping in the meth kit to.  Either way I'm glad to be here and look forward to modding my Flex.

Welcome to the community, DeekFlex, nice ride!  You will find yourself in good company here, when it comes to MS3's and modding :)

So I already see a lot of back and forth with intakes between Airaid and K&N.  What's the best intake for the ecoboost?

My MS3 I just traded.

I will have to research this "modded" Airaid intake. With the Mazda there were SO many to choose from but a couple performed much better than others.

So far stock box or modded airaid have proven to be best in performance with the K&N being liked for sound. Long thread here on the modded Airaid and many different (about the same though) ways to mod it. Think it's called "sealing airaid take 2".

Thanks SHOnUP!  I just read that and think I will be going with the Airaid. Modded of course!
Glad to be of some help (still pretty green to the modding scene myself). Another member is having some success it looks with a ram air concept feeding extra air into the intake per a cut out in the box. With his time slips it looks to be beneficial at the top end (in my eyes).
