Hey guys, I wanted to show you these LED's that DriveBright.com just released. They will fit all Ford Taurus' from 2010-2016 with the led light tube in the front corner of the bumper. Even if you have a Taurus that doesnt have the led tube, DriveBright.com has an insert to make it happen! It is easy plug and play technology with minimal install effort.

Not only do they serve as a dim light tube (like the stock ones do) but they are also bright 24W daytime running lights AND they can be wired into your turn signal to turn ORANGE when your "blinker" is on.

Dan with DriveBright.com only has a teaser video right now showing their brightness and function during the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUp5Vay4SD0

Here's some photos of the lights installed: http://imgur.com/a/Gs20f

A new video of full function is on the way but they function exactly like the ones designed for the Ford Edge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWrXsBQQdUg

They come in any color you like and will even match any factory Ford color from 2010-2016. I ordered my set in White.

These lights are waterproof, durable, and have a legendary Phillips LED lifespan. Dan tests every set before shipping them to you.

Please PM me if you have any questions, I will be installing mine next week! See Dan's website to securely place an order! Thanks everyone!

Mr. DTBL does nice work, and he listens to the feedback his customers provide.  Doesn't get much better.

I couldnt agree more. Great guy who cares a lot about his customers. Planning on getting a set for your SHO and your Edge, Shodded?

No longer have a SHO, no timeline for a new one.  I did just get new taillights, and enjoying the look, goes well with LED headlamps :)

I thought 2010-2012 SHO cars do NOT have DRL on cars. Will these still function if thats indeed the case?

That is a really good question haha I will have to look into that for you. The website states:

- 2010-2015 Ford Taurus (all models and trim levels)
- Perfect for Taurus models that did not come with original factory accent lights. (Must add optional bumper bezel cover. Bumper bezel covers are available in standard flat black or high gloss SHO finish)

Ill let you know what Dan says

Sweet, just ordered mine as well. I had emailed this guy about 7 months ago expressing interest in having our weak LED strips retrofitted. Never heard from him- I'm glad he was able to bring us an alternative to the OEM unit.

From my 2011 build certificate, 318 had DRL's that year.

I asked dealer about it on one of my service visits. They said they cannot be enabled on my car. (software) Maybe the controller for these is where the magic happens. It could conceivably work from turn signal splice to power pertinent relays. So if these will work, awesome. I may splurge. If not, I will save the money!

A lot of dealers are still unaware of how to turn DRLs on post factory.  Could be there are differences in the BCM capabilities, maybe Jason/jmr061 can shed some light here.

13+ Can have the low beams (non HID) or the turn signals act as DRL.  This is done via the dealer software, IDS.  The "fog" lights can't be used.

My understanding is that 10-12 units are hardwired for DRL but I have never hooked up to one so couldn't tell you for sure.

As far as these aftermarket lights go....cool....I was actually dealing with Dan starting in June of 2013 on these but gave up hope....at that time a prototype was in the works and I even sent him parts of the service manual to help him out.  His kit is more than likely acting as a DRL anytime the vehicle is running....it is not hooked into the factory DRL circuit....it acts as its own independent DRL.

I'm glad to see he got these produced! I was the one who was going to test his prototypes last year but had to send them back due to other personal issues. The guy is awesome! very understanding.

I've done business with Dan in the past... I have his puddle lights... Just found out about this ... As soon as I verify the temp on the white mine are ordered... And I am gonna upgrade to the new puddle lights too.

The products are excellent, he is personable, and his customer support is top notch!

From Dan:

Our DRLs do not use the factory DRL setting in order to function and is independently controlled and powered by a wire harness with integrated controller that is included in our Taurus DRL kit. The included harness and controller is easily installed and will allow the DRLs to automatically turn on and off with the ignition key. Engine on, DRLs on. Engine off, DRLs off.
