Hi everybody my name is Bryan and I am a new SHO owner and long time Ford fan, I traded in my 2012 fiesta for a 2010 ignot silver SHO. It's bone stock with 50k miles. I don't want to do too much more than bolt ons and a few things like the 13 tranny cooler because I have the bumper to bumper warranty till 100k. Exhaust this coming week, probably a cai and tune after that. Eventually I would like to try running no cats as there is no smog where I am moving to. They are not ecoboosts but I also have a 08 gsxr600, a jacked up 98 dodge ram, and the girl has her 2011 focus we bought.
I work at the Costco gas station in my town and have seen my car with its original owner pretty frequently for the last 4 years, I must say knowing the extensive history of a used vehicle is nice. My SHO has had only one trip to the dealer for parts, an injector after 16k miles.
My local track does drags every Wednesday night, I can't wait to go get a base time before any mods. And to SHO up a couple mustangs and gto's in the process

Welcome,

Glad you made it here! Everyone here knows a great deal about these cars and are a great resource when you have any questions.

I love the color!

To add a little about my back ground, I'm 23, 6'7" (big reason for buying the car even tho my last car was a fiesta)
My first vehicle was the 98 ram that I still own, currently has a cracked head and blown head gasket and is awaiting parts or a hemi swap. It's a 5.9 magnum with a 6in lift and lots of bolt ons and a cam. I also have my gsxr that is stock besides an intake. The wifey has a 11 focus with the sport package or whatever its called where it came with a body kit and rims stock. I'm a big race fan of most types of racing especially dirt track. I have a degree in criminal justice but took some diesel and gasoline automotive classes in the process so I know how to turn a wrench, use YouTube and the search feature on forums so I feel pretty confident in my own mechanic skills. I can already see the amount of knowledge the members here have so I am grateful to have joined and am looking forward to talking to everybody.

Welcome To EBPF gsbryanxr!!
:WELCOME:
Glad to have you with us!

Lots of info here.  Great community too.  I will step out and say that the while folks here have individually varying goals for their rides, you're gonna' find the information related to every path is state of the art... or beyond.... as mods are developed and tested.  Your input will be an important asset.  We all have something to learn.

Your Gonna love that SHO!  The smile factor is way high!
Jeff posted the true test..... "if you can park your car without turning around to look at it, you've bought the wrong car."

Welcome to the community, Bryan, glad to see ya on here!  I'm sure we can agree to overlook your non-Ford rides :D as long as you post pics of one and all!!!  For the Hemi swap, do you have to do the entire engine, or the heads on up?

Incidentally, Sparks, MD has been in the news because McCormick Spices is headquartered there and considering a move.

Welcome to the club.  Everyone here is very helpful.  Better help and info than facebook.  Have fun with the car, I know you will enjoy.

:WELCOME: Glad you've joined us.  If you like the car now, after you get a tune you will love it, it really should be the first mod considered.  Makes a world of difference! Hope you enjoy the car and your time here!

The hemi and magnums are different blocks so I have to swap the full motor and transmission. I've been looking for a newer ram with a hemi that was in a roll over where I can swap the whole thing including ecu and harness.
Don't get me wrong tho. I was sixteen when I bought the ram, I love it but my next vehicle in addition to the SHO is a 5.0 or ecoboost f150. The ram is just for weekend off roading and camping.

I don't think I have the pp on mine. How can you tell? How do you put it in track mode if I did? That will tell me if I do or not

You can go to the home screen, enter your vin in the window sticker generator. It will tell you exactly how your car came equipped from the factory.
