Hello everyone, just picked up a 2010 MKS with 33k on the clock. Its my 1st Lincoln but purchased from an 82yr old man who drove it here and there. It came with the THX stereo but no Navi or Sunroof but has the self parking option and rear sun shade. I guess he didn't need that other fancy stuff lol.

Been reading through the forum for over 2 weeks already. I like wrenching and haven't had a turbo vehicle since my Mustang 2.3 Turbo 7 years ago.

Welcome aboard, TX, love that color on the MKS!  Since you like wrenching, we can get you started with all the preventive maintenance right away :D

Spark plugs, trans fluid, PTU fluid, RDU fluid, brake fluid flush, clean/reinstall MAP sensors (!), etc.

Then move on to more serious business ;)

Welcome!  :WELCOME: enjoy the ride and the forum

Is it TX 'cuz that's where you hail from? I grew up on the Gulf Coast.

Welcome aboard the EBPF Partner, great lookin MKS you have there and have noticed many new MKS owners joining our beloved forum and great to see the community growing.  Z  :thumb:

Thanks guys. The maintanence is what I'm planning 1st but seems this car has allot to be maintained at the early miles than what I'm use too. I did do my 1st mod which was needed and swapped out for some power stop rotors/pads. Brakes have better bite now by far than when I got it. Also dressed up calipers with a G2 epoxy kit.

Looking good!

Most of us are OC on maintaining our cars... And enjoy a little casual wrenching.

Yeah from all my reading the "PTU" is what scares me considering I have no warranty .

Hmmm... At 33k don't you still get about 17k of the original powertrain warranty?

Thought I was expired on time. I'll have to check again to make sure, that would be nice

Damn,I hate being in the rust belt. Your Texas  2010 looks brand damn new underneath from the brake pics. When I did the caliper paint it took me 2 hours to grind away all the rust on all the brackets.
Thx for joining and welcome.

Welcome here, nice little find there buddy! Don't worry at all about no warranty on the ptu, just change out the fluid and your fine. Especially since it was senior owned, I doubt he abused it much and it's low mileage.

I'm insulted... I beat on her every time I'm driving! ... It's why I bought her, LOL I only wait until the tranny and engine are up to operating temp for a few minutes before I flex my right ankle rapidly.
