New SHO owner from Knoxville

Hello all. I just picked up a 2010 Tuxedo black non pp SHO (southern car) from a private party. 72,000 miles and the car was obviously babied, it looks brand new! Im very satisfied with the purchase. The guy was asking $14,000 and refused to come down a nickel. I wanted the PP package but this car was just in too good of condition to pass by.

I have owned Cobra Mustangs and Z06's in the past, and was an HPDE instructor for years with NASA (similar to SCCA). Im not sure that I will ever get back to VIR or Rd Atlanta with this particular car being 4300lbs.. but I do plan on eventually turning it into a quarter mile monster with Livernois tune/exhaust/meth.

Hopefully 11.99 here I come!

Any SHO owners ever have meetups in East Tennessee?

Eleven's have proven elusive thus far.

I think to date, there's only been six that have broken that barrier thus far.

Be sure to do a thorough once over, and swap out all fluids, verify connections and turbos are solid.

Once then, you can start heading down that mod path, and gear towards that eleven club.

Eh.. Low 12's would still be awesome! I have been reading here and at Sho forum.com constantly the past month trying to learn all I can. This is my first forced-induction car so I have alot to learn.

I have been trying to register over at Shoforum for the past week, it keeps saying the confirmation email has been sent but there is never anything in my inbox??

I did the VTA mod this morning, its okay but I was hoping it would be much louder. These cars are too damn quiet. Are the hot pipes with BOVs from EPP much louder, or worth it?

Welcome (back) to the addiction!  Had my share of mustang and ford V8's in the past, still have '95GT Vert.  I LOVE this new ecoboost coupled with the AWD in the sho.

I will recommend you consider an SCT programmer and check out AJPTurbo on here or Unleashed Tuning for your tune.  Both create great tunes that are custom to your vehicle and fuel.  Having an SCT tuner also means you can get tunes from a number of people where the livernois unit is locked to just them.  Livernois make a great product but it is proprietary, I am just not a fan of proprietary anything personally.

Do some reading etc on this board before you buy anything, there are some sweet deals and sources for parts just in the last month or so (I recall cheap 3bar maps and maybe a sale on SCT tuners).  And lots of threads talking about the things to do to unlock the car's power and what does/doesn't work.  Drop in air filter usually just as good as expensive CAI etc etc..

Welcome! Any pictures of the SHO or any past rides?

NASA is quite fun. I haven't got the luxury of running it but I have heard a ton about it from my local AMSOIL guy. He is an instructor as well. Still need to make it out to take some pictures and check it out.

The car still has drivetrain factory warranty on it until November.. Shure would like a new PTU. Anyone have any nefarious ideas on making that happen? Heh.
