New to forum - no Ecoboost yet

Hello everyone. I am currently researching to buy and upgrade a Taurus SHO.

Unfortunately, last year my wife talked me into buying her a NA 2014 Flex. We test drove a Ecoboost but she didn't like the color...

So, now I'm looking to replace my 270k mile '97 Taurus and performance, rather than color, is my top criteria. I recently test drove a 2015 SHO, and now I'm hooked. I'll want it to be a daily driver, but still very interested performance upgrades including methanol injection.  Also, interested in DIY upgrades but need technical help when the time comes.

I was car shopping not long ago.  I also test drove an SHO and fell in love.  If you are shopping used, I suggest widening your search to include the MKS, Flex, and Explorer EB vehicles.  All have their advantages and disadvantages.  The SHO with PP is the probably the best performer of the bunch with the others all being fairly similar.

My choice boiled down to what I found in the best condition and for the best price since I was shopping used.  Ended up with an MKS Premium.
