So the Taurus police cars have begun running around here, some even with EBs in them. My daughter came up running to me the other night how it was all over Facebook. So I'm like yea and then? She said everyone was complaining about how it's going to that much harder to run when you are being chased by a SHO. I said wait what? First off how do your friends on Facebook know about the SHO, and what the heck are they doing trying to run from the cops?? I guess the moral if this story is the SHO is no longer a sleeper, if it's common knowledge among 17 something's lol.

They have Taurus "police interceptor's". The police package is just another model, like SE, LIMITED, or SHO.
I know I am splitting hairs on this. But when I see a Taurus police car, it do not think its a SHO. Just like the old crown vic PI's were not the same crown vic's the old folks drove.

Still not a SHO; I'll out run them and I've told them that numerous times.
The only thing faster then me is their radio. LMAO
All in all; they're breaking those cars left and right. My buddy is service manager at Ford and he's had numerous PI AWD in for broken front shafts.

Houston's small collection of Taurus models are ecoboosts. Our Explorer interceptors have a 6.0 v8.
Running from the police is always a good idea... In video games. I can only speak of my experience in a big city but very, very few people outrun the helicopters, the radio, and all officers in the area.

The only way you can really get away is if you happen to be near an exit and are able to take a bunch of random turns.
But I wouldn't recommend doing that... At all. I've heard stories here and there of that working, most of which were in reference to motorcycles.
