PP Owners: Removing Air Compressor Foam Insert

As I get closer to my audio build, I have determined that I want to mount my equipment in the area of the trunk that is currently reserved for the foam insert that holds the air compressor. I have had a couple tugs at the foam and appears to be just glued in place. Has anyone tried and successfully removed that foam?

Mine came right out. Maybe it wasn't suppose to but I had no problems. Do you plan on keeping it? I prematurely tossed mine and decided I wanted it after all. But it's not cheap from Ford. Would you be willing to sell it?

I will probably pull it out when I sell the car. Thanks for the information about the removal.
