PPE catted downpipe with factory exhaust sound...

Ok.... Here's my question. I recently purchased a 2013 SHO PP with 7200 miles... My plan is to get a unleashed tune, CAI and PPE catted downpipes. I'd like to know if anyone out there has any feedback on the sound regarding the catted downpipes with a stock exhaust. This car will be a daily driver for my wife. So it can't be too loud. Thanks for looking

Its going to be a nice mellow whistle sound and nothing excessive for a DD,Your wife will love it,you could always remove the CAI if the whistle sound bothers her which i really doubt it,good luck with the ride,

K&N is garbage.

Airaid can be made to work with some mods.

If you're not willing to do the Airaid mods you might as well stick with OEM as it performs better.

SIC performance is also working on one, so you might want to wait and see how that shakes out.

Off the subject. But how can I tell if the car has the performance package?

The 2013 PP has summer tires, partial Alcantara steering wheel (suede like), a trans cooler, 3.16 vs 2.77 gears, and the ability to turn traction control ALL the way off.
So the easiest way to tell is the tires and steering wheel.

Also, the exhaust note is just slightly louder especially on cold start-up, but is still quiet with no drone.

NO spare tire in the trunk, just a air compressor, air gauge, and funnel.

I have about 8K on the PPE catted DP's on my '13 SHO with Hotpipes and VTA.  It is LMS v8 3BAR tuned... no drone, throatier not at idle... mostly just briefly while in open loop (30 sec) but not much. It is dead quiet in the cabin unless I accelerate and this varies with throttle.  Hope this helps

I have a 2014 non PP with Livernois 3 bar v8 tune, with thermostat, gapped plugs and PPE Catted downpipes. It is super quiet driving around even doing launches full throttle and standing behind the car as it drives away it is quiet. It however moves like hell and 0-60 is amazing...!

The biggest change is you can hear the car spool up inside it = really cool, but overall no sound change. I am now thinking about deleting the 3rd cat but leaving the resonator. The 3rd cat pipe looks like a huge restriction but the rest is smooth bends and should not be an attention grabber...

Spartn is correct, just checked my original DP'S and measured them 2.25,have them stored with 3k on them.
