Thanks buddy!

No 93 in Vegas? What the hell? That alone might make me reconsider my desire to move there . . . well probably not, but that still sucks. Welcome to the forums!

You get the same piss gas as AZ and CA, it's HORRIBLE and massively inclined for knock. :(

Ugh, really? That SUCKS. I live in the Chicagoland area right now but my plan is to move out west in about 2-3 years, preferably to Vegas if I can find the right job there but definitely somewhere out there as I find the climate more agreeable more of the time thant I do here in the Chicagoland area. 93 is pretty easy to find, not at EVERY gas station but a large enough percentage that it's not a big deal out by me, if I was in an emergency low fuel state where I HAD to put 91 in the tank for some reason, it would only need a gallon or so to get me somewhere I could get the 93 my Ecoboost craves.

Is there any reason why the gas formulation sucks out west? I've only had rentals out there when I've been visiting so I guess I never paid any mind to the octane availability.

My Dad lives in Vegas and I live in Phoenix, between the two if you are ever going to have a family I highly suggest Phoenix. It's tough to raise a kid in Vegas, too many parents working weird shifts or single parents and just so much bad stuff to get into, IMHO. If you are young, single and ready to mingle then the night life in Vegas wins. :)

The gas is what we get, nothing we can do about that, it's just what's been here since the 90's. This is the reason I started moving towards E85 mixing and the fuel mods on my motor, picked up at TON of HP compared to 91 only. Another option that most do is meth injection to help with the lack of octane.

I'm 32 with no commitments at the moment, it's possible that may change in the next couple years but who knows? Right now Vegas seems like the more appealing place to live but that could certainly change, and I do see that Phoenix is only a four-hour drive away so that may also be a place well worth considering. A lot of it will depend on what I can pin down in the IT sector.

Good point on the meth injection, that's on tap for early next year for the MKS along with an upgraded downpipe and a new exhaust. I hadn't really considered e85, do you have a link to what you've done with it? I'd love to check it out.

WAY more jobs here for IT folks, lots of companies put their data centers here due to the weather and lack of snow. Pound for pound Vegas loses when it comes to IT jobs massively.

East Coast; I make a fortune on other people's dime -- reason I jumped ship, the money.

True. If you hate big cities like I do, I could set you up in a small town with LOADS of IT. Sierra Vista/Ft Huachuca, az. Bout 3 hours south.

Screw that.

Yeah, go roast like 4DR does blowing pipes left and right.

I rather freeze me balls than deal with the desert heat!

Its nicer here... barely pushes 100 in the summer with a high humidity of 30% unless a storm is slated.

Ohio is much hotter... was there a week or so ago.... 80% humidity and 100.... not sure how thats better.

We don't talk about Ohio -- pesky little state.

PA is where it's at.

Go on, live in the middle of nowhere with nothings exciting to do.

;)

Gentlemen, Vegas sucks....I would never ever tell somebody to live here lol.  Its not as cool as you think.  The city is broke, its dirty,  people are rude as hell, no 93, its wayyy to hot, the strip is coolfor like the first 2 weekends lol.  I would move to Phoenix if I had the choice.
