Personally I don't think lowering springs deserve a spot. Problem is people don't keep up with maintaining their suspension so spring slapping won't do anything. I would put it under general maintenance with struts and what not but without more real data on how lowering springs effect the sway of the cars on launch I'm going to say unnecessary but not to be over looked.802SHO said:Now I'm a little surprised you didn't add lowering springs to your list, aren't they good for a couple tenths or at least one, with launching and such?
FWIW before I did anything it was window tint and lowering springs!

The lowering springs should help the aerodynamics aspect since the SHO stance is high up from the factory. Agreed on providing actual data which is essential to any such mod.Jordan said:ZSHO said:Don't lowering springs yield to overall better 60' times! I think they play an important role in aerodynamics. Need some actual data on it on a test car before I'd make that assumption. Plenty of stock suspension people in the 1.7X sixty foots that I have seen so it's up in the air. Usually with the benefit of springs it's because of the backwards sway they dampen on launching so their isn't as much weight transfer off the front end. However, if someone has some crappy blown struts it's also going to effect the sixty negatively. Just like the MSD are an honorable mention and not a necessity despite proven power gains it's a "at the will of the person" type mod to me and not a game changer like the others above.
