Speed comparison test on v7 and v8 LMS tune...

Ok I will post two videos the first one is the old v7 93 lms tune and the second is the new 93 v8 tune. Before anyone judges the road this is on is very straight with zero traffic at 3 am only real risk is animals or a freak tire blowout which case ftw. .. Both videos have same mods a full corsa exhaust and Airaide intake and the tunes... I notice on new tune a slight hesitation from 1-2 but does seem to pick up speed nicely once shifted... Also note that the new tune was just uploaded earlier Wednesday so car and computer nay not be adjusted... anyway here share your thoughts and if u see much difference...

Mine is the performance package so maybe it's cuz of the gearing and yea it does seem to pull a bit more steady after 110 yours drops off around 120 it seemed

check with LMS. Send them an e-mail. When is the last time you updated yours ? The V8 came out just within the last few weeks. You need that update :)
 
I ran the videos side by side several times. Oddly I may be just a tad quicker to 60 but at 80 and definately 100 your takes over. Has to be your exhaust.

you say it's "full" Corsa ? is that catback but otherwise stock dpwnpies cats etc ??
 
Yea just cat back some people just do mufflers still running stock downpipes unfortunately. .. Also I had a slight hesitation into second gear it bounced of limiter for a second.. have u had yours to track yet also what mods u running

I love my v8.... despite opinions and Andy's info, I had it modded for the DPs and T-stat (91v8 tsdp... hate AZ gas)

But when I put my 3BAR in and had then mod the tune for that too... well the engine runs better, sounds better, shifts better, and the low end (or at speed WOT) maneuvers are clearly stronger.

I spoke with Dan about it, he told me there's a couple of other tweaks in the 3BAR version to make it smoother at the same power levels... but hesitation is gone!.... because.....  There is an entirely new turbo mapping in the 3BAR modified v8.
 
I just got the V8 91 and 93OCT this afternoon. Loaded up 93 and drove for about an hour. I feel a big difference over my previous v6 93OCT. I also do not get the fail to shift 1-2 even leaving on traction control. However, a 1/2 throttle parkway onramp merge threw my CEL. I cleaned my air filter off it was pretty nasty, Ill have to wash and reoil in the next few days see if thats it. The CEL is a pain because it stops remote start from working until I can clear it.


 
Just updated to v8, I haven't drove it yet, but all you have great things to say about the 3 bar map. I was saving up for the DPs but now I think I am gonna get the 3bar sensor. Then the DPs then meth.

Have you tried to reinstall... don't know your mods or tune tweaks you have to v8... I clear any DTCs with the MyCal just before I start flashing.... and that has only happened when I installed the 3BAR MAP.
