Trouble with key pad entry

Can't get my factory code to work on my key pad anymore. I can lock all doors with the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons and I can unlock all doors by touching it when I have the key FOB with me. I just can't punch in the factory code and open doors, trunk and stuff. Pisses me off because I accidentally locked my key FOB in the car one day and couldn't get into the car ....had to call the wife with extra FOB.

Anybody else have this problem and what did you do to remedy it?

Never had the problem but the first thing that comes to mind is disconnecting the battery to see if resets.

This is what I was thinking too, it used to work just fine and I have tried hitting every key to see if all the buttons are working correctly and they do ...so I know there is no dead key on the pad

My keypad used to work regardless. Today and one previous instance the upper portion (1/2 button) won't work half the time. My code won't be accepted even if the number does work. So today had to have a tow company out to unlock the car.

I programmed my own code and I don't even remember the factory code!

Me too.....have it written down....but no idea what it is without looking.  Use personal code frequently.

Hmm so I'm washing my car today and leave keys, wallet and phone inside....what's the harm right? Well I guess my keypad malfunctioned somehow and it locked the doors when I sprayed it with the hose  ....

So I try my code and it doesn't work .....

So I am off to the dealer next week to get this fixed...this will not happen again ... fml

my 2013 SHO was just in for this.  They had to replace the outside trim because it contains the pad.  Said my 6/7 buttons didn't work.

Bot a big deal, except took them 2 tries and 3 days to get all the correct parts.

It's acting like that might be the case but every button I punch lights up the pad ... the other weird thing it does is I can lock the whole car up by just pressing the 7/8 button ...no need to hit 0/9 with it  ???

I have been locking mine by putting my thumb between the 7/9 and the 0/9 for the last few years. That works much better for me than trying to hit both spots with two fingers. Someone gave me that trick on a forum and explained to me that it was a trick he learned from older Fords that used the same keypads. Just relaying what I was told and has worked well for me.
