Trouble with LMS tunes

I got my LMS tunes emailed today, installed them on the programmer and then installed the stage 4 tune. After installation on start up it ran very rough at approx. 1000rpm and would require the throttle to be open approx. 50% to increase rpm any.It also has the check engine engine light and the little wrench light in the instrument panel.I tried going back to the stock tune but no change.I think I'm going to try to disconnect/reconnect  the battery next.Any idea?I don't know if there's anyone at Livernois tomorrow either.

Ok.I tried cycling the power, that didn't work.I cleared the DTC's and that cleared the service engine light, but the powertrain light is still on and the idle is high and very rough. :(

Did you shut off all your accessories?  Heat radio, etc.  Do not disturb anything while tune is loading.  Don't open doors, windows anything.  I'd disconnect the battery for a few minutes then try reloading it.

Sounds like you got a bad file or a miss matched, Dam I can't think of whats code at the moment to code you sent to them. Is a MyCal tuner?

Also DJ suggestions are good as well. It is absolutely imperative when loading tunes to do nothing to interrupt it.

Tried going to the stage 3 tune also with no change.Sent an email to them and I'll call tomorrow. It worries me that returning it to stock doesn't change anything.

Did you totally disconnect the battery? Neg and Pos.  For at least a couple minutes.  That should reset everything (except whatever tune you have in there).  Then try again.  There have not been any problems with 10-12's since the beginning.

Edit-But yeah, you could have a corrupted file or mis-matched strategy code like Chris said.

I hope that does it.  I, myself would give it another shot after that either loading a tune or stock.  If you can successfully load the stock tune, then you should be able to load a custom tune.  But if you want to play it safe wait until you talk to LMS in the morning. Luckily, if it is a corrupt file or mismatched strategy, when they resend to you it will have a stock tune.  (Always go back to stock if you are visiting dealer.  They can tell if you tuned if they look but this is so you are running stock if they decide your ECU needs updating.)

No luck. This is really frustrating because I thought by having the stock tune available I'd always be able to switch if I had some issues, but going back to stock the problems remain. This is really making me regret going this route.

Man that really stinks.  Hopefully, you and them will get it straight tomorrow.  I don't know what else to tell you.  Try emailing blowe@livernoismotorsports.com and PM'ing them here too.  Try plugging your MyCal into your computer and running the update again.

So you return your car back to the original stock tune and it still runs bad. Very odd and hopefully you will find out what's wrong..

Guys,

We just sent the OP an updated file, it definitely appears that we made a mistake on this, and apologize for that. the new files should be of the standard that is expected of us.

Great!  We were thinking it might have been a bad file or mis-matched strategy.  Glad you were able to get it straightened out so fast.

They sent the updated file and it works great-just took it around the block.Great support from Anthony and the crew at LMS in resolving this issue so quickly.
