2012 MKS Fog Light bulbs

It bugs me on my MKS that the headlights are HID's, but the fog lights are old school yellow bulbs.

Has anyone had any luck swapping the stock bulbs with either HID's or LED's?  I'd prefer LED as I don't think they require a ballast unless I'm mistaken.

Check out vLED's site for some options.  For some LED lights, the higher lumens ones, they do have a separate power source/ballast, so you would have to find a mounting spot just like with HIDs.

the 2010 MKS uses an H11 for fog lights, should be easy to find an LED replacement:

I have used this site on my other cars and they only deal with Phillips and Osram bulbs which are one of the leading edge in bulb manufactures in the industry and clearly outshine the competition,you can probably find them cheaper on ebay/amazon and puts Hella to shame.  Z    http://www.powerbulbs.com/us/store/category/car-bulbs/fitting/h11

I ended up going the total ricer route.  I picked up some Philips H11 bulbs, old school halogens (like stock) but they have a blue coating on them to mimic 5000k.

Yeah, these won't offer much as far as being fog lights, but they should look good.

I agree yellow are used for  fog lights because the light won't reflect up to your eyes at much and stay towards the ground.
