2013 + 14 Caliper covers

No experience, but they look pretty cool.  How much size do they add to the caliper?  Just thinking about clearances with aftermarket wheels, etc.

ya no idea.. looks like the mount better than the plastic glue on stuff and easier than painting.. a bit pricey.. if not too ricey! haha!

MJHPADI has them.  I think he needed a 1/8" spacer with stock wheels.  He should be on later tonight.

I also have them & love them. Mine are red with black SHO letters. They come with real narrow wheel space, I think you need for front wheels only. The guy I had installed them also tapped the calipher with a small screw to make sure they stayed on & I painted it so you can verily see the screw. You don't have to do that but my guy really wanted to make sure they stay on no matter what. Also painted rotor hubs to match to finish the look.

I was thinking about these as I had them on a previous vehicle, but I see no way on a 2013 PP for them to fit. And really for about the same price, plus some of your own labor you can have your calipers professionally powder coated.

they do list different ones for the PP tho? longer i assume?? or you think the wheel clearance is the issue?

It is a clearance issue as I recall there only be like 1/8" of clearance maximum.

hmm.. well damn!

I know that if you had the front brake TSB performed on the 2010-2012 MY you have to use a wheel spacer, which MGP ships with the covers.
I installed them on mine back in the summer, so far so good.
I know there was some discussion regarding MY 2013-2014, but don't remember the outcome. Give them a call.

One of my bosses new Acura MDX has them on the front wheels & it's price tag was over 40k, so obviously Honda doesn't think their cheap looking. This is one of those cases that divides those of us that don't want a sleeper from those that do as far as i'm concerned.

LOL Mike!  I don't know where that leaves me.  Maybe I drive a napper. Hey!  There's never a bad time for a nap.  Except at the Staging lights.  ;D

These remind me of the caliper covers I see at Autozone and O'Reilly's that the Honda kids put on their cars to look like they have a big brake kit.

It always cracked me up that the base model Lancers would get "Brembo" covers to look like their big brother Evos...

Painting the calipers is not an easy task for the average DIY'er, nor is finding SHO-specific painted calipers in your color of choice :( .  Might be easier to engrave the caliper & paint the engraved part.  Short of these options, the covers are the way to go!

agreed.. and no! I would't put the fake Brembo covers on at all!

I like my stock silver colored calipers just fine.  I have no plans on changing them.  I would like to get better pads though.

So what's different about the Brembo covers than these?
