When I got my Certificate of Authenticity for my SHO Friday the package also contained the production data for the entire 2013 SHO run.  Thought someone might find it of interest.  See below, left click the image to enlarge it.

Wha... that's it?  Jeez, these things are rare.

Only 195 Silver w/ PP.  I feel like I'm driving an exotic.

Black made up 42%, which makes sense from what I see on the road and members on this board.

Apparently I should have gotten the smokers package if I wanted mine to be very rare lol

Very cool data though.  I wish I would have gotten a green one personally.  Surprised more green were made than blue.

So.... I'm going to assume (I know dangerous) that the 2014 numbers will be much the same.  That being said being in the 42% of a rare vehicle still counts as unique?  Somehow I've managed to live near at least 4 other SHO owners.  Or at least close enough that when I go to the hardware store I run into them.  Wish Ford would publish which states received them.

I believe 7,114 for 2010 per this article:
http://racing.ford.com/enthusiasts/collector-vehicles/ford/taurus-sho/2010.html

Production
Total Production: 7114
- Cinnamon Clearcoat Metallic – 199
  - Candy Red Metallic – 1518
  - White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat – 1064
  - Tuxedo Black Metallic Clearcoat – 2594
  - Atlantis Green Metallic – 368
  - Steel Blue Metallic – 301
  - Ingot Silver Metallic – 1070

4,845 for 2011 and 1,808 for 2012.

I owned a 2006 Pontiac GTO, bought new off showroom.  I always thought that was a rare car, the SHO tops it.

2006 GTO Production: 13,948.  I had a Brazen Orange, which was 1,175.

Time is meaningless in the endless drift of FPG hyperspace ;)  Just hope the numbers that they HAVE released are accurate!

When will 2014 #'s be released?  Another two years?
Likely only another year if it's true to form with my '13 just being available this month. ... Not sure what the hold up is, but I did note that they start with the higher volume cars and exotic 'stangs.

My 2 1992 Audi S4 have production numbers listed between 250 to 900 units depending on site and if is USA only or North America units.
My 2004 VW Phaeton 1 of 1,433 Phaetons
2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP 1 of 4842
1990 Oldsmobile Touring Sedan 1 of 5566
1989 Oldsmobile Touring Sedan 1 of 7193
2013 SHO 1 of 7592

Lol so this is the least rare of the rare cars i have had lol I have a common rare car addiction problem. THANKS for posting this info. Ill have to order mine soon.

Ok this is getting silly.  At those production numbers we are owners of a fairly rare commodity.  Of the current body type there should be no more than 35-45K SHO's anywhere.

If those assumptions are correct than why do I run into them all the time?  Today at lunch in Dallas we ended up with this:

Edited for wrong picture.

For the same reason I hardly see ANY late model Taurii around these parts!  There seem to be pockets everywhere.

I go months without seeing another one in the Colorado Springs area.  I'd think they would be even more rare down south due to people not wanting AWD.

I lived in Texas for 23 years... Everything is bigger there, LOL. A bit of a rare bird for sure though.

There are a couple here in Des Moines area that I see - one '10-'12 and a '13 (red and black accordingly). Can't believe they made less than 2k in '12, wonder if that was due to the model refresh in '13?

The worrying part of those numbers is will they do another refresh/redesign in '16? Between those numbers and the decline of the full sized sedan it worries me...

If Ford didn't already offer the X Sport, I'd have said make the Taurus X again :D like Fiat did with their 500.  But seriously, yeah, the '16 is supposed to still be around, not sure after that.
