2014 SHO vs Shelby gt500?

Anyone seen any comparisons such as a SHO vs the Shelby gt500s with the 5.8l supercharged engine? Reason being my friend has a 2013 Shelby gt500 all stock and I would like to keep modding until I destroy him on the track (1/4 mile). Just want to see how far apart I am.

Saw a video of a SHO beating a Shelby in the quarter mile but I couldn't tell what year the Shelby was or what mods they had.

He's obviously in left lane...treed me, out 60'ed me then took off...it was pretty cool

Him and his buddy both had gt500's. They were in the stands for my first 2 runs when I went 12.71 and 12.66. I parked after those 2 and they came out to chat. They were intrigued by the family sedan running so well. The other barely modded gt500 was low 12's (they said). The guy with the faster one said that the SHO would be a perfect daily driver for him. Might have sold a car for Ford.

The fact that he is pull a 60' of 1.6sec even with METH (I am at 12.3 1/4mi & 1.78sec 60') He will get you. But other gt500 who are not as good as his 60' you got a changes.

In my short experience with the SHO. Any time you jump out with a great 60' and have a good SHOwing at the tree, anything is possible. It "seems" the great launch can cause the other lane to aquire bad shifting points in an effort to catch you.

That guy at 11.4 could drive that thing!

YES!!!!! Our GREAT 60' START can make faster car's driver run slower times. Here my friend Mike in his 11sec MARK VIII Who has beat me at SSHS13 &14 By less .1 of a sec.

I'm assuming you don't know much about GT500s any year?? With that said you really don't have a chance unless it's a stock 07-10 one and poorly driven. 07-10. They can will get plenty of traction at the track especially with it on a radial. 13'14 gt500 don't waste your time.  Now on the street is your best shot at beating on from a dig through 1/4.
 
Damn, I want that blown Mark VIII!

You're just hoping the GT500 driver misses a shift or bogs the launch.  That's your only hope.  Odds are 50/50 in your favor on the street due to poor traction.

Don't Shelbys have launch control?

The one I raced had a wicked holeshot, NO AWD advantage, LOL!
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but the 5.8L GT500 is the most powerful production V8 at 662hp. Not only does he have more power but he is lighter too. Probably the only way to beat him in a 1/4mile is to have 550+awhp and launch faster than he does.

Edit: forgot about the Hellcat at 707hp. GT500 is #2 most powerful production V8
 
It doesnt matter what your 60' is, a 13 GT500 will real you in like youre sitting still and run past you. period.
There is no SHO that will beat a 13+ GT500.
