2014 Taurus SHO - Stunning Dyno Results Baseline + K&N

here is my dyno result on LME dyno. My mods are in my signature.

from your reaction to your #'s i'm guessing your car put down around 330-340?

Def SHO and F150 are not comparable.  with tune/3bar/CAI etc but w/o meth, pretty normal to put low 300s for AWHP and mid 300s for AWTQ.  See how yours compares with the ones in this thread:

Good info right here. It looks like if I want to be running close to 400whp, I need to get a meth kit.

I'm starting to re-think my tune order here. :/

To get to 400WHP you are going to need Down Pipes, Catback, and meth.  It is worth it..... drives like a new car.

I wouldn't worry so much about dyno numbers. Running times at the dragstrip is the most accurate way to determine the effectiveness of your performance modifications. With just a tune and downpipes, you'll knock off a full second off the claimed SHO stock 1/4 mile time (stock = 14.0/13.9 ---tuned = 13.0-12.9)...which is pretty impressive if you ask me.

3. The Mdesign results I am not super impressed. The filter on the K&N pass had SIGNIFICANT soot on it. My test was right from the K&N factory -- right out of the box. In the Mdesign video, the average peak HP was below 300 every run and a comparable amount of torque. I’m strongly thinking the soot has something to do with those numbers. With the new MDesign Intake, they measured 310 HP on their run, which was my lowest run even with the stock intake. Also my dyno pulls were in my top gear (6th). I think these runs in this test were run too quickly and not in the top gear to really judge what the output of the motor. The torque numbers were all over the place. You had a few 400’s 380s and 330s… I’m very confused what’s up with such a large number discrepancy. Just making observations.

Just wondering... aren't dyno pulls supposed to be made in the 1:1 gear which is usually 4th gear?  Wouldn't 6th gear create skewed results?
