2016 Focus RS pricing released, $35,730 (MSRP)

Does look sweet... Did a build and got everything except the moon roof, did the forged wheels... Got almost $41K MSRP. Guess I'm getting old... A little hard to jump at one since my '13 SHO was just under $37K brand new and came with extended 7/70 BTB and Ford Esp 7/70 factory maintenance in that price plus insurance on the wheels... Especially the first model year.  Not trying to dis it... Just saying.

Gonna buy lottery tickets and hope!

I haven't looked close enough at these.

In a quick synposis, what's the differences 'tween the ST & the RS??

I could probably fit it in my trunk and still leave enough room for my golf clubs.lol, Nice car though probably competes with the subaru.  Z

I'd really like one and would even consider getting it but I love the torque and instant boost of the twin turbo v6....and if they stop sho production and or downsize the engine I like having the big boy ecoboost

450 ft/lbs at the wheels and mid 12's with an automatic is pretty serious

Anybody have info on the rumors about a Fusion RS in the works? That is another reason I'm planning to hold off on the Focus RS for a few. A Fusion / mini-SHO with the 2.7 would be a great ride.

Stock 0-60 on this Focus RS is 4.7 seconds, so it sounds like it will have plenty of torque. Once LMS works their magic that should improve significantly too.

If you can keep traction and not become airborne, LOL, it should see sub 4sec 0-60's with a tune.

Its got our AWD enhanced with rear clutch packs to move power left right on the rear axle....

70% to the rear and 100% of that to one wheel....its gonna stick.

Lol works their magic...it's actually quite simple to tune these things once someone shows u a couple things...

It will have plenty of torque relatively speaking but won't be able to match the torque of the sho with stock turbos

Agreed, but with the weight differential between the two cars it probably doesn't need as much torque.

I'd be concerned if it did match SHO numbers somehow. We're talking a 2.3L and a 3.5L, haha.

with a tune, and assuming RS will be much lighter, I will not be surprised if it kicks SHO's butt. Hence, even and eco mustang seems to be a bit faster than SHO after some mods.

I didn't say match the speed I said match the torque....something to be said for 400 wtq at 2500 rpm...no eco stang or rs will do that...if I'm not mistaken I think the 2.3 ecoboost has a larger turbo than the sho which will mean more lag and a later light off rpm...the sho has to have a small enough turbo that 1.75 liters can spool...that's why our shos have virtually 0 lag

Are the eco stangs running mid 12's with a tune?...no doubt the focus rs will put up good 1/4 mile times due to it having a manual and or a dual clutch tranny with launch control...even tho we have awd we can't launch well because we have a auto slushbox of a tranny...to get good numbers from the rs u will have to rev high and dump the clutch and with a tune and increase boost and awd I doubt the stock clutch will take that long...Taurus on the other hand will allow me to masturbate and cool my balls while running down the track ha! Suckers

Forcus RS will hopefully beat up the Golf R and STi.  The '17 Raptor will have EB and is rated around 450HP/445lb-ft.  New Super Duty gets revealed next week at TX state fair.  GM got fined $900M for covering up evidence in defect that caused 124 deaths.  Good times to be on team Ford!
