Advance Track Issues

Not sure where to put this so its going in the SHO area. Yesterday I got a new tune from LMS which was supposed to have no auto upshift in S because it would only autoshift 80% of the time and if it wont go every time I would like it to be consistant and make me use the paddles every time. Turns out it still auto upshifts about 80% of the time. However on my commute this morning I stopped at a gas station and when I started the car back up I got a service advance track message. My turn signal also would not stay on unless I held it which makes me think it has to do with the steering wheel position sensor. At the track last weekend my cousin claims he got the same light at the end of 1/4 mile for a second and it went away but I'm not sure if the two are related. I'm going to call LMS today and talk to them but I was wondering if anyone else knew anything about this. Also both of my halfshafts were bad from the factory and my car was not part of the recall. I got the driver side halfshaft replaced but I am still waiting on the passenger side so I don't know if that has something to do with it.

Some have had a similar issue with advance track shutting down in excess of 100mph.
Have you tried going back to the old tune to see if the problem continues?

Haven't reflashed the tune yet. At the drag strip it was cutting out at the top end around 100 mph but I had never had that happen before with that tune. This morning though it was still in park when the message came up.

Definitely give Livernois a call when they open.

For future reference, I see these type posts get moved to vendor specific area.

Good luck.

OK I would have gone vendor specific but I was not sure if it was related to the new tune or if it was just coincidence.

SERVICE ADVANCETRAC is usually related to the PCM thinking it has faulty data from a wheel speed sensor.  Could very well be the passenger halfshaft causing it, rust/debris at the sensor, or frayed wiring from the sensor back to the PCM.

There are so many glitches in our cars, check to see if any DTC are present,do you have torque app and if so that alone can set off the advance trak service light, any ticking from front end, wheel hubs also another issue related to that,if code B-100 is present, like SHOdded said that applies to the steering angle sensor which can be related to the wheel hubs being bad setting a code that applies to the front end, would first remove the ground on battery for about an hour to reset the ECU.

Mine did it stock as well.

If it's a problem which occurs during or after a high speed run, definitely seems like it's might be related to wheel speed sensor signal. Wonder if the TCM might just need some adjustment. No reflashes have been issued by FoMoCo?

Lol, who wants to be the first to have that conversation with their service manager?

****, I've yet to even meet a service manager for Ford. I haven't been to the Ford House yet. How'd that conversation be to break the ice? Lol

As info, I have had a 2011 and a 2013 tuned shows, both would throw codes and "service advance track" messages at the track because of an inordinate amount of wheel spin on launch. However once these codes are cleared they do not come back, at least in my case they didn't.

Sorry for a stupid question - but how are the codes cleared?

A)  Pull battery negative cable for at least 15 minutes, some members report 1/2 hour works better
B)  If you have a tuning device from SCT or LME, you can use that to do this as well

I havent had this issue at all. And I have the Unleashed tune from Torrie. Friend of mine has a tune from " a guy named Shawn" and he hasnt had this issue either.
