Aftermarket O2 sensors

Ok so my cat went bad. Bought some aftermarket cats. The mechanic says he stripped out the threads on both upstream 02 sensors. He can get O'rellys supplied O2 sensors that are not Ford Factory brand. It that ok with a tune? Or should I order and wait on them from the dealership?

I would get oem

No way to tell what the scale is for lambda vs voltage...sensors can be different

Some are 0-5 volt some are .5-4.5 volt so the ecu will or can see a different reported voltage for a certain lambda

I used NGK/NTK O2s when it came time to replace the OEMs on the Edge.  No performance issues thus far.  I do know that some time back there were issues with Chrysler aftermarket sensors having the characteristics AJ described.
