AJPTurbo vs LMS (Yea I went there)

So I have been putting my two tuners through their paces. I have given the LMS tune quite a work out at the 1/8th mile track, doing everything under the sun to get give this tune a fair chance. I also put AJPTurbo's tune through the same workout at the same track. Here is a picture side by side of the two best runs I have thus far with LMS on the left car 53 and AJPTurbo on the right car 17.

DA for both runs was 1500. Mods are the same. Same track. And I hooked better with the LMS tune (check the 60ft)

I worked with Brad through several revisions and I hammered LMS trying to get their best alky tune without having to go get a dyno tune which even they said wouldn't be worth the money as I already have the "Best alky tune available"...

Subbed .. for me the big seller is I did not have to buy a 500$ LMS tuner.. while they can manipulate more .. I feel the Boutique tune from brad is more superior.

I agree, the fact that the sct does more than just flash a tune and pull codes was a big seller for me also.

Point being... this was not one of those I flashed tunes at the track blah blah blah... no time for cool downs.... no time for ECU to adjust... blah blah blah...

Just a straight heads up comparison between the two. Right... wrong... indifferent... it is what it is...

As long as you are respectful while presenting your facts/results/experience, fire away. :)

I have never been anything less! I'm a data junkie. I have always recommended both tuners depending what the person is looking for.

Holy crap.  The ET is impressive, getting just under 8 seconds.  But that MPH difference is insane.  almost 5.5 mph in the 1/8th?  What kind of sorcery is AJP using?  lol

Fastest trap speed with the LMS tune... same night as the 8.102 ET. Car 53.

That mph tells the story.  Your car must be an absolute roll on monster for an awd car.  That's awesome to me because that's where my car lets me down the most.  It launches, but then is boring.  Your trap speed is definitely not boring.

The big spark makes the top end lots of fun.

He has a few different spells he can cast depending on your wishes.

It throws down for sure from a roll... which is only good for the street when random guys decide to take off...

You really gotta get that thing to the 1/4 SBS! Brad's tune is clearly at a disadvantage from the launch with the traction issues but makes up for it very quickly. In the video of you and turbocoupe it's crazy how much you're pulling him in the start of 3rd gear.

Yea.. my friends at the track said the same thing.. that when I hit third gear the car jumps like I have a nitrous kit spraying...

However to be fair, they said the same thing about the LMS tune however with Brads tune it's more evident. Third seems to be the money gear.

1/4 mile times are coming... the closest track is 1.5 hours away so it will would be about a month if all goes well to have a heads up comparison between LMS and Brad.

I give both tunes time to settle in before running them, so it will need to be 2 trips for an honest accounting.

Do you think that's due to the big spark you are achieving from the jump in octane and meth cooled IAT2 temps?

3rd gear seems to be where my car falls on its face, granted I'm tune only, and no downpipes so IAT2 is skyrocketing by then killing spark.

Yeah my car seems about the same.  I am blessed out here with long periods of time with cooler temps thru year, but usually associated with wet roads.  Cool temps and cool roads/tires mine will break them loose in a straight line (92oct AJP rev6), but not usually when road/tires are warm, Not even when car is on cooler side and just hitting ope temp after sitting all day.  I would love to have a car that chirps all 4 off the line and requires tweeking to keep it hooked up.  SBS/AJP are going to be the death of my bank account.  I sold my Meth kit "I don't need it" but damn if I do not want it with all his success so far!  Wanting to get a Stage1 kit and have Bradmiester cook me up a tune without the traction mods SBS has, for scientific reasons...
