The chrome on my tail lights is peeling off and it looks terrible. What year/model tail lights should I look for off of a regular Taurus to replace the ones I have? I really like the SHO chrome lights but there is not a good fix for it unless it’s to plasti-dip which I really don’t want to do to my car. Also the chrome strip that goes across the trunk from one side of tail lights to the other is broken and one side does not want to stay clipped in and I need to replace it also. Does anyone know what that part is called or part# and where could I get it? I doubt I will find any newer Taurus on the junkyard but I will go take a look hopefully this weekend. Only bad thing about owning a Ford is all the little plastics are falling of losing color ughhh.

SEL tail lights should work fine. Go to EBay, you'll be surprised how many Taurii are accident victims. The chrome strip with the Ford Oval in the middle? That's called the Rear Body Panel Applique 402A30. You will find it under the BODY, REAR BODY category on Fordparts.com.

TSS is right. Another easy giveaway is to look at the shape:
2010-2012 are more rounded on the lower portion that points toward the trunk lid.
2013+ are more pointy/angular in the same area.
