Anybody Tried to Trade-in Lately?

What's so special of the FoSTs? Is it just because you're having issues with your SHO?
I haven't had any issues with mine, if you were asking me. I'm just interested in downsizing and increasing fuel efficiency. Oh, and a lower note would be nice.
I'm sitting at the Mazda dealer right now. Ha

Welp, agreed to 25.6K for the SHO. Not terrible. But not exceptional either.

Bought a dealer trade 3s GT hatchback with a 6 speed manual. It won't be delivered until tomorrow.

The next 20 hours serves as a very bitter sweet end to my brief SHOwnership. Ended up only putting 11K miles on her in a year and a half. Ill miss the big black beast.

I'll have a few items to part with. I'll toss a few threads up for those.

Congrats on the sale and hopefully you can bring that classic up and running to its full potential and finally get to enjoy it,best of luck to you.Z

I want to say congrats but its hard to lol. Hope the new car serves your needs well.
Lol! I feel you. It's certainly a drop in lux and comfort. But it's still quite a well equipped and fairly substantial car for it's price point. If your teenage kid needs a car, check one out!
It's going to take some adjustnent, not having that big lux car there for weekend date nights. And that power. That sweet power. But, I'll manage. I'll get back into the sport lux car game a few years from now.

Thanks, Z.

The Buick is coming along.

It's my poor old C-10 that needs some love. Still use her for work horse duties, but she's getting wore out and grimey.

I'll still hang around here. I never truly leave the auto forums I become apart of. :D

Yes if i had a beautiful old car such as that buick i could drive on weekends or nights i could live with a slower daily driver lol.. They funny thing my daily driver is a 77 dodge half ton full time 4 wheel driver :) It really does need some love too like you c-10. the motor is still pretty strong but the valve guides are leaking oil at a alarming rate. But the second i pull the factory heads off it i will wanna start spending money on the the old girl.. I keep trying to put it off.. i luck out though and my daily commute is like 8 blocks lol.

^Pretty dang good! I'd have been thrilled.

I'll bet if the tires weren't bald on mine, I'd have made out better. But you know how they do. They find one lirtle thing and pick it apart. The car is otherwise immaculate. A few raspberries left by the PO on the front wheel, compliments of a curb or two.
They appear to be in the market in my area for 30 or less. Factor in the tires, and their offer isn't too far off.

We got an amazing deal all the way around.

Very happy Ford customer.

Funny thing...

My original buying experience with Ford was pretty good. After I drove the SHO away, I never set foot at a Ford house again. Never once even set foot in a Ford service departnent.

Perhaps I'll own another Ford some day. An econocar is temporary for me. Interested to see where FoMoCo takes the Ecoboost. It's an exciting piece of technology.

I'm hoping they move forward with their ethanol boosting technology.

Port 93 +DI E-85.

They'd be something else. They'd certainly pioneer that tech/concept, on the consumer market. But the more ethanol skepticism grows, the more political and bureaucratic heartburn it generates, you have to wonder if Ford or others will vest fully in R&D for a fuel with a potentially limited source and scarce popularity.

Meth should work just as well and most likely better...

It will be like DEF, fill up your 1 gal tank at service intervals.
